I’m seeing some Jennie-O turkeys on sale for 98 cents/lb (a bit cheaper than the $1.50/lb I’ve been finding whole chickens for). We have loved our raw packed chicken and also our chicken stock, and I love turkey and would love to do something similar with it. I do see there are some additives in these turkeys. Does anyone know if they would still be safe to can?

    None of those ingredients would be a thickener so I’d say it’s fine.
