Preparation

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Rub the outside of the bread with the garlic. Cut the bread into slices about 1/4-inch thick.
  3. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush one side with oil.
  4. Place under the broiler until lightly browned on one side. Turn and repeat.
  5. Top each crouton with the Parmesan cheese. Place under the broiler until golden brown.
