apparently its inspired by tuscan flavors and traditional italian chicken breast dishes like milanese and marsala, but is very much a food blogger creation. This and cherry tomato feta pasta are like perfect examples of truly cosmopolitan modern home cooking, theres a bit of tradition but something that could only exist with the internet!

How do you get those Sun-dried tomatoes so soft and moist? I always get them either in oil or just dried, and even the oil, jarred ones are still pretty firm. Also, I noticed that you talk about not burning the butter, But I use Gia butter (Clarified-Butter) all the time now when I saute almost anything.
Cover the chicken and it will cook through no need to buttery it. Once cooked through, high heat to caramelize.
