What's eating my peppers? Inspected the underside of leaves they look good. No eggs. Research led me to slugs, went outside at night and early morning and found nothing eating them down. They are chewed down to the stem.

Definitely slugs or snails you can get a slug collar on amazon should be able to minimise the damage

Yeah it’s slugs. I have been having the same problem this year as well. Use diatomaceous earth along with slug bait to take care of them. I noticed a significant decrease in their population within a week.

Rabbits around here eat all the tops of growing plants. As do deer. If deer can’t reach those, you might have rabbits.

And slugs. Those leaves being eaten look like slugs, the tops being eaten are rabbit/deer – depending on the access.

I also have squirrels that get angry at me for removing their walnuts. Like really mad. I think they also practice subterfuge on my plants.

Rock salt worked for my snail problem on my horseradish plants in February.

Snails, slugs or pill bugs (yes, contrary to popular opinion, pill bugs can eat live plants sometimes, not just dead plant matter.
