  • ½ teaspoon dried hot red pepper flakes

Preparation

  1. Cook tomatoes in saucepan 30 minutes or longer until reduced to three cups.
  2. Heat oil in casserole and add garlic and onion. Cook, stirring, until wilted. Add meat and cook, stirring, about one minute.
  3. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and tomato paste. Stir to blend. Add parsley, basil and pepper flakes. Cook, stirring, 10 minutes.
