all right Charlotte North Carolina we’re still out here touring your lovely city looking for all the amazing places with the good food BR and uh I’m at another spot it’s called supperland now this one comes up on a lot of lists as being really really good um I did not check the menu on purpose because I kind of wanted to be surprised and see what it was going to be about so come join me and let’s Martini we love that trust the process which is Cat Head Honey suck Voda tangay Jin basically some [ __ ] to put you on your ass that’s what it look like the 4G Negron the Jin’s 4G Ford sipsmith sutlers and botanist if you like Jin the golden onion the Jeffree spring fever maybe tomorrow romantic comedy this one is a coffee infused Pama pomegranate Lor I don’t want that hello how are you gentlemen wel I’m Ashley I’ll be taking care of you can I get it started with still or sparkling water I’m good with steel Still Water still good sure of course I’ll be right back um there’s also a makers highball a Midwood Manhattan and a supperland oldfashioned oh they’re featuring the karma cocktail which is Gen clarified lime cordial orange bitters it says vegan I would hope so don’t be put no bacon in my stuff now okay free spirit cocktails oh Spirit free cocktails juice all right so I think I’m going to try I guess a cosmo looks like it’ll work let’s do a cosmo right how that’s the first one on the list how could that be bad okay let’s talk about um food for a moment so starters they have sausage gravy Croquettes baked breed porridge bread which is made with grits and cultured beer butter beet butter forgive me beet butter there’s an onion dip a seven layer salad a charred wedge a golden beef salad I don’t know if that golden beef salad going to be as good what we had last week but I’mma try it and we going to see cuz what I had last week Olive and Oak was outstanding okay chill Seafood Tower Mains they got a prime RI by Prime filet they have this pork Kon I mean if you don’t know about Kong K con it’s really it’s spelled k an Ka an is from uh Puerto Rico it’s this Pork Shop that’s like a tomahawk ish pork chop with the skin um wrapped around it and exposed and then it’s fried so you get the chichiron with the pork chop it’s outstanding it’s a lot though it’s a lot of food it’s 49 bucks there’s a wagu pot roast a vegetable pot pie prefer quiet nights um like this so we can get in and get out I don’t like coming on the weekend it’s too many people I know it’s a mad house on I know which is why I’m here on a Tuesday so I got the yesterday I’m leaving on Thursday so I’m to stop here cuz you come up on all the lists all the lists that come up we’ve been working hard yeah we just had our threeyear anniversary earlier this month I’m the wine guy I do some other managing but mostly I do the wine um but I’ve been here since we opened uh your server Ashley is uh brand new but we love her so she’s been a great addition um she’ll be able to help guide you through the menu but if there’s anything else uh I can do for you or you get any questions anything else you want to see just thank you enjoy thanks I knew they was going to be like sir you want to do what I charred ho carrots blacken onions Ambrosia ambrosia salad miso mac and cheese wood oven Brussels mushroom risotto roasted corn and horseradish crispy smashed potatoes so oh they have specials beer bread Carolina pero it’s golden rice made with muscles clams shrimps and scallops they have a pork chop with pepper and red pepper [ __ ] a local sucot a cast onion mushrooms oven roasted cetes Low Country oysters and a pineapple right side of cake I love I love the plate so definitely Southern in uh I mean it’s in Charlotte right so this is like quintessential let’s play around with what you know and what you love and let’s see what we come up with and I’m I’m here for it and love it so let’s place an order and then let’s check out these cocktails and see what they’re hitting on have you you have not died with us before you first time all right so another question do we have any allergies or dietary restrictions okay so since we’ve never been here I’m going to go over the menu just a little bit sorry about that so PE in here we like to think of it Southern uh State cast Mak with like a church potluck so the experience is meant to be shared as well as the food is meant to be shared so what kind of Baptist Church or Pentecostal Church yeah I think this was a Baptist Church yeah cuz I saw ambrosia salad and I’m like chur that’s that’s a church thingy yeah it’s perfect I love to play so here we have our saber Charlotte it’s our final week of our specials that we participating in which your blogger you obviously know s Charlotte um and then here it’s pretty simple self-explanatory but like I will always tell you if you’re ordering too much or too little if you decide to share and if your eyes are bigger than your stomach we have boxes and bags to take everything home um for two people I usually suggest like one ENT TR a couple sides like or just go for whatever want yeah so I’m going to run through and grab a couple things okay um neither one of us are are hungry at all are that hungry uh but I’ve got to taste and figure this out for the for the camera so so we’ll order a bunch of stuff um I’m probably just going to take a bite or two and then ask you to box it up and then take it to go all right perfect I’m going check on the drinks and then we’ll go over that good thank you ashle of course all right she’s cute it’s Church potluck Southern Steakhouse Ambrosia I we didn’t have Oysters at my church though we didn’t have Prime ribe ey in my church no we did now if they would have made this like a church program that would have been really yeah that would well you know sometimes Church programs they do have like the trold it depends on what kind of church you’re going to you know it depends all right so I’m probably going to grab a few things the Croquettes look [Music] good the onion dip looks good the seven layer salad looks good as well and then the roasted beets all right y’all here we are let’s place an order Queen City Cosmos oh I get a butterfly isn’t that beautiful isn’t that beautiful all right my Cosmo is in front of me it’s as good as any Cosmo you’ll get anywhere else that’s a five out of five I ain’t got no problem beet salad okay we’ll start with that and then I’ll think about this where did this uh pork chop can can come from so pork can can that is going to be like a Southern America no I know it’s from Puerto Rico from St Juan but I’m saying what do you know the inspiration behind why they decided to do it here why they did it here yeah I’m just curious well I know it’s ber sure so that’s what I can tell you for sure bir is going to be the cor but I think it’s kind of like a RI I’ll find out exactly like cuz cuz the crazy thing is CH let this can can is a it’s I know it’s a very popular dish in San Juan I’m just wondering the connection between San Juan and Charlotte and why you decided to do it here and how that plays into the whole thing that’s just my geeky mind my nerdy mind I’ll find understand you exercise those options so you know like for example my haters I don’t follow them I don’t tune into to what they have to say but um hi thank you but I heard through the Great Vine that you know they found my address they know where I live the whole bit oh yeah it’s it’s a whole thing it’s fine I mean I can look up the address for you know Oprah Winfrey or Ellen you know what I’m saying so it’s it’s not out of off brand for people that want to know where I live you know what I’m saying thank you thank you taste that see if you like it see if it’s like this one this I haven’t had a drink in six years yeah but but by the time you get to here you going to be feeling like I’m feeling right now um no so it’s not out of context for people that want to know where celebrities live I’m not and I’m not a celebrity in that way but I’m saying well not in that way but I’m saying I’m a popular person on social media so I know people want to know as much as they want to know about me and then try to prove if what I’m saying is a lie or the truth right I get that so um like the haters I heard them say something like he’s a millionaire but he lives in a 1800 foot home right what millionaire lives in a 18 1800t home well you you forget I just sold a 6500t house nine bedrooms and six bathrooms that I sold right it’s too much space it’s just me why I need nine bedrooms right and then we’re investing on the other side of the world like are you thinking about that what is the cost Associated and the risk level associated with investing a couple hundred, on the other side of the world they don’t see that part so I think for me it’s been to answer your question it’s been the money the mindset combined have been the Catalyst for saying let’s live my life on my terms I’m I’m done living based on a schedule based on what people want now I know how to make money I know what money can do let’s live life on my terms and my terms seem to be happier calmer uh more intense just a better life for myself and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that whatsoever I’m sorry that’s the way I want to live and I’m happy living like that it upsets them oh yeah I’m pretty sure it does they’ll be fine cuz they are sitting there at the table while you still progressing and doing things it’ll be fine yes sir it’ll be fine to sit at the table being M that’s okay yeah so that’s how I got to here I got through I got to hear probably through frustration uhhuh and a desire to want peace and once you experience like the and I’m talking about extreme like Bali is Extreme peace like everything about Bali is peace everything once you’ve experienced that like the people in Bali are not working for greed right they’re not working to get the most money they’re working because they love the work they do right so they live life very differently this idea of I have to attain more more more more and the more I have the better it positions me doesn’t exist over there that’s gone so what does life look like without those parameters inside your life it’s a whole different life that you can experience right the peace the Tranquility right you can do literally anything the your mind is so clear yeah it opens up to so many other things that’s why I want to go back over there taking what I know from America yeah and going over there you are forced to be reckoned with and then the other piece of this is I think is important to note is my haters can they can’t stop me they’re upset they can’t stop me they can they can throw monkey wrenches in stuff in America yeah you know they can if I’m announc I’m going on tour they can call the uh banquet hall and say he’s a scammer you know what I’m saying if they know um I’m rinting an Airbnb and somebody’s posted photos in the Airbnb they can find the Airbnb and reach out to the owner right in Bali in Indonesia you can’t do nothing nothing you can’t stop the progress you can’t stop the building you can’t call anybody you can’t write anybody nobody cares if you say I’m a scammer it all goes away 100% Main and you have to deal with all of them on a daily bis pass you know what it was at one point okay not anymore at one point in my life cuz I’m like why am I constantly being attacked you know I’m a human right so the human part comes in and then you know one day I know I just woke up and was like this is all [ __ ] everything they’re doing is all [ __ ] don’t consume it don’t care about it don’t look into it I don’t I’m not on Twitter not on Twitter they’ve been blocked on every platform Instagram Facebook so I see nothing so my experience with social media is extremely positive I see nothing I see no [ __ ] I see nothing and that’s why they’re everybody’s everybody’s happy okay um yeah this is outstanding I don’t know it could benefit from a little salt a little like smoked sea salt on top but other than that try that what I would do oh it is salt on there it’s salt on there it comes at the end taste what I want you to do I want you to taste it taste the whole thing together first and then break it [Music] up score one to [Music] five aftere comes with it it does it has four four now try the cream by itself see what I’m saying now try to beat by itself that cream is that’s what I’m saying you don’t get the full cream experience you don’t get the full cream at first but when you put the cream by itself that’s what I said is outstanding let me try this beer bread it’s the cream the beats are good but the cream makes them cream taste the Crouton on top let’s go yeah so individually the cream gets a a five out of five yeah it’s a whole dish what does it get 3.5 as a whole dish I’m more like a four as the whole dish it’s I’m leaving next week I’m going to Tokyo but you doing the restaurant and B I go to Tokyo next week I’m in to Tokyo for a week then I’m flying to Indonesia I’m in Indonesia for the whole month show you the Airbnb it’s a real estate guy let me show you my Airbnb I didn’t want to go to B but since you going to do the restaurant might got to go yo you got to go to Bali I used to do weekend trips to so my business partner out there that I met on a whim I went for vacation before I left I secured the land had the business contract signed and the partnership contract before I left in English and Indonesia right before I was only going for vacation so I asked my guy I said his name Tommy I said Tommy how much is going to cost me to build a restaurant he said between 300 and 500,000 right I said that’s a lot of [ __ ] money I can do that [ __ ] in America for cheaper than that 300 or 500,000 rupia not dollars rupia 30 to $50,000 50,000 is the max right okay no licensing no permitting no bureaucracy no red tape for for restaurants for restaurants no Sur safe no inspection you build a restaurant you pay for your your um certificate you open the front doors and where I am 15,000 cars that I love in this that’s fantastic the Char is a little too much they can tone the Char down a touch the hard part for me is the comparison between between here and Puerto Rico this is good don’t baking cake space the three of us are going to get together they they basically attacked him and his Husband on socials so hard because they realized who was the weakest link it got to him not once but twice he quit the T or twice before we even did our first stop he quit and meanwhile Cory the other guy was like let’s go I don’t give a [ __ ] let’s hop let’s do and that’s same way I am but they got to Jeremy and then you know he all on social media crying and whatnot so they figured out that was they got a weak link they found him and then they attacked him and then he was like this too much for me I can’t do it y ya y so I’m like all right cool the tour is over before we even start yeah the girl she was like you might not want to be seen with him or post him on your page she it it was I think it was like um a bad relationship you had or dis frontal partnership I don’t know because she she had some she was giving me proof I ain’t open it up here’s the deal I don’t have Partnerships had horrific food but the food that’s been that I had in St Louis when I deviated from black own restaurants [ __ ] was outstanding man outstanding all right y’all we did it now this one you know what it’s going to get for me a complete five out of five man I was looking for a lot of the really great restaurants with a lot of the really great food and I definitely found it right here at supperland it’s like a church and the drinks are good the food is good every it’s get a five out of five for me Charlotte it very very very very good I love this like play on you know church I would have taken it a step further just to make it super Whimsical but the way the way it was as it stands absolutely fantastic a lot of the call outs of things that I thought were really really good um everything it was nothing I tasted but I was like eh I don’t know everything I had was outstanding so and you know that if you live in Charlotte but if you don’t this is definitely one of our types of places all right you know what I mean when I say I kind of place little Posh little Upp but the food is absolutely down home and amazing so if you’re ever in the Charlotte area come on out here uh to supper land
