Have you ever wanted to cook like a legendary chef?
The Cincinnati Museum Center is offering cooking classes inspired by Julia Child throughout winter and next spring, according to a news release.
Classes, which take place at the museum’s Cr(eat)e Culinary Studio featuring the Kroger Food Lab, are available for kids to cook alone or to cook alongside an adult.
Several dishes are inspired by or directly from Child’s debut cookbook “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.”
“The programs will walk culinary superstars and microwave misfits alike through a lineup of French cuisine classics and comfort food from around the world,” the release says.
The “kids-only” classes are for ages 7 to 14 and each cost $30 for members and $40 for nonmembers. The “kids cooking with adults classes” are for kids ages 7 to 18 and each cost $100 for members and $120 for nonmembers.
Tickets go on sale Monday. For a list of dates, class descriptions and to register, visit cincymuseum.org/create-culinary-studio.
The museum center will also feature the American chef, who is known for making French cuisine accessible to the American public, in an upcoming exhibition. “Julia Child: A Recipe for Life” will run from Feb. 1 to May 18, 2025.
