Only went there once when I lived in KC, towards the end of my time there. I could kick myself for not visiting sooner—it’s excellent.
The ghost pepper sausage is crazy to me, my favorite meat of theirs. Their sides and the rest of it are pretty mid. Location is nice as I often stay at a hotel around the corner the night before flying out of KC. I’ve been in town since January and have gotten around to trying Slaps bbq. Absolute top tier. I work an hour 15 out of KC and have still managed to go and get food there 6 times.
I had to map the location, now I know why I haven’t been there.
It’s all the way out by airport.

This place is so good, and great hosts as well.
I flew in and out of that airport a bunch for a couple years and I’d make sure to tell my colleagues that might flight was an hour earlier than it really was so I’d have time to get some Q before heading back to Dallas.
