As my title states, I have a cracked fire ring that I have already replaced through a warranty and was wondering it anyone has any suggestions for repurposing the cracked ring before I just throw it away.

Keep using the ring until it’s no longer serviceable, then install the new one, a crack like this really won’t make much difference when in use, I ran a cracked firebowl for years, it was broken in three pieces, but still fit together like a puzzle and worked just fine 🙂

Smash it up and use it for drainage in flower pots if you want to keep it out of the landfill. Otherwise it’s pretty worthless.

I have had an egg for 22 years and am on my second one. The inner crack. Eventually you will need a new one but you aren’t there yet. I have replaced nearly all inner parts over the years. You will know when it needs to be replaced.

The fire rings with those slots crack much more than the current fire ring. I continued using it when it had one crack. Once the second crack happened it was time to get a warranty replacement.

My cracked fire ring is still in use after 5+ years, I’ve had the new one I got through warranty in the box in my garage this whole time.
