The KJ is only 18″
The Weber E6 is 24″ which is far superior than the KJ. Yeah it’s more expensive but you can buy it with low interest free payments

You can usually find the Weber deluxe on FB marketplace for a lot less….I bought one for 75
Kamado Joe
Performer no question.
I got a brand new Performer in October for $199 CAD at Home Depot. It was their end of season sale and the floor model. Couldn’t be happier!
You can add so many accessories to the Weber…pizza oven/rotisserie, etc.
How many people are you cooking for typically? Are you planning on hosting? Do you plan on using it as a smoker? will you be doing briskets?
Weber lower maintenance, longevity, durablity and availability of accessories.
You’re asking in a Weber sub so we are prob a bit biased. I’d pick the performer for several reasons especially because it won’t tip over and break haha
Personally I have a kettle, WSM, and a Espirit. My cheap Craigslist kettle sees 95% of all the things I cook. Performer is the most practical useful grill imo
How has the price of the Performer nearly doubled in the last 13 years?? I swear I bout a brand new one when I first moved to Florida in 2012 for $300…. Okay just looked it up $329 for the Weber 1427001 Performer Charcoal Grill. Ordered February 29, 2012
What is your use-case?
Grilling only? Go Weber, definitely. More versatile: dual-zone, multi-fuel, easier ash cleanup, easier temp control.
Smoking only? Go Kamado Joe. It will sip on charcoal and hold temps consistently for long overnight cooks.
Both grilling and smoking? I’d probably lean towards Weber, unless you live in an extremely cold or salty climate, where it might be good to have a ceramic unit.
I love my performer, lots of convenient features
FB marketplace Weber performer deluxe. I see them barely used for sale all the time. I got my Weber performer (not the deluxe bc I wanted the smaller table/cart setup) for $150 and it looked unused.
Look into SNS grills. They offer a very similar setup to the performer but many more features and much less expensive.
No Diddy….18 inches isn’t enough.
