    The biggest hurdle of a grilled ham and cheese is making sure the ham gets warmed enough while still melting the cheese and not burning the butter on the bread.

    Sometimes I think about doing a quick microwave before putting it in the pan. Sort of like microwave steaming veggies before roasting them for a head start.
