Second time, ever(!) buying rosé..

This is the Idiot Pinot Noir 2024, Germany.
Price ~10€/~$11

I don’t really like rosé and last time I bought rosé was almost 20 years ago.

But, today it was scorchingly hot outside and I really wanted something cool to drink, went to the wine shop and suddenly felt like rosé.

This wine is noting special really.
The bouquet was like smelling a handful of different red and warm summer berries. The taste was like putting the load of red berries in the mouth, strawberries, raspberries, wild strawberries and also with a hint of minerals. Off dry. Light/medium bodied, medium acidity. Enough to make it fresh for an off dry wine but not enough to make you grin. The taste of warm and ripe strawberries linger for quite some time.

I paired it with a greek salad and with some cheese and charcuteries, excellent!

Feels like I don’t need to buy rosé again for the next 20 years but I’m glad I made it’s acquaintance, for a measly 10€/$11 I’d say it’s good value for the money!
