Recipe for mama t special lemon poundcake

 3 -cups of swan down  cake flour
2 1/2 cups of sugar
3-sticks of softened butter room, temperature
 5-room temperature eggs
1/2 -cup of buttermilk room temperature
2 teaspoons of baking powder 
1/2 -teaspoon of salt
2 -tablespoons of vanilla pudding
1 -tablespoon of lemon zest
3-tablespoons of lemon juice
1 -teaspoon of lemonade extract
1 tablespoon of vanilla flavor

Mix, lemon zest with sugar
And three softened sticks of butter
Be until fluffy
5- eggs, one at a time
Beat for five minutes
Alternate buttermilk
With 3 cups of flour
 preheat oven 325°
Cook this cake for one hour or until  your insert come out clean

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla flavor,
Mix well until smooth. If you feel like you need more powder sugar, you may add it .one pinch of salt

Y’all, we have a recipe for you today. But before we talk about this recipe, let’s pray. Father God, in the name of Jesus, God, we thank you. We praise you. We worship you. We magnify you. We glorify you. You are worthy to be praised. Thanking you for our life, our health, and our strength. Thanking you for the things that you have done for us. And we thank you for the things that you’re going to do for us. We asking you to bless our beloved MTS crew. We ask you to bless them. Father God, we ask you to keep them in the name of Jesus in among them that’s going through any sickness in their body, any disease. We anybody that’s going through any depression, oppression, God, we ask you to heal their mind. We rebuke the devil off of their minds in the name of Jesus. We rebuke that mind playing demon off of them right now in the name of Jesus. We ask for clarity of thought in the name of Jesus. God bless all the the sweet children that’s aging out of foster care and don’t have anybody. God, we ask you to send somebody their way to help them and lead them on into the next chapter of their life. Any of sick and shedding, we are praying for them today. Any um a body have uh anybody have special needs children in their family, we are praying for them. Anybody that’s taking care of aging parents, we take we we are praying for them in the name of Jesus. Anybody that’s traveling, we’re asking for traveling mercies that there are no incidents, accident or fatalities in the name of Jesus. Anybody traveling by boat, plane, bus, or uh anything that you’re traveling by, we’re asking for the angels to encamp around them and get them safely where they need to go in this travel season. God, we just thank you and we praise you and we’ll be careful to give you and you only to praise. And God, we we still lifting up our sweet sister Debbie N. still lifting her up and we thanking God for her joy, her happiness and and we’re lifting our God, my god daughter up on here, Tangi from with the with the with the tabers with the family tables. We’re lifting her up as she as she go through her healing from the heart attack that she had and you know she’s been dealing with um with grief God and we asking you God that you just put a calmness on her God and keep her in the name of Jesus. So we are praying for our our god daughter of Tangi in the name of Jesus. That’s Tangi with the family tables. We love you, Tang. God bless you. God keep you. May may may you keep your hand in in Jesus hand because he has unchanging hands. He’s the same today, yesterday, and he’s going to be the same tomorrow. Keep trusting in the name of Jesus. And the reason I’m baking this pound cake is um uh I hope y’all get this early. Y’all might can get this video today. I don’t know. I had another video I wanted to put out, but I hope y’all can get this video today. We’re going to make a pound cake and we’re going to have this cake. This cake for Thursday. So, sister, what cake do you like? I like the peach pound cake. You like the peach pound cake. Okay. And my booby like the lemon pound cake and I like the sour cream or the buttermilk pound cake. Pound cakes are basically made just about the same except except for the the flavoring. You know, you got a pound of butter, pound of sugar. That’s really how the pound cake was was invented and created is is with the pound of this and a pound of that. So, we’re going to make that and so we we are we are looking forward to tomorrow. We are looking forward to to the watch party. That’s when we got to get this video might be a little late tonight, y’all. But we’re looking forward to the watch party that that that we’re going to have. And all remember that if you don’t have the Food Network, you know, y’all tune in to the live and the live is going to start about let’s say about what you think about 8:45. About 8:45 to 10 minutes till like longer than that. So, it’s going to start then and we all going to watch this watch this live together and watch this program together. We celebrate my daughter’s birthday tomorrow. And also uh uh my oldest daughter, her 15 year wedding anniversary. 15. They’ve been married 15 years. That’s Noah’s mom. Her her anniversary is today. And that’s what we’re going to have tomorrow as we watch the watch for it. And then we’re going to do some banana pudding. I’m going try to take y’all along with me. I’m going to do my banana pudding in the morning. You got cupcakes for No. Oh yeah. We got cupcakes for Noah. And so we’re gonna have some some uh the round sandwiches. Sister order the tray of sandwiches. We gonna have we order in some wings and we’re going to make a salad and probably do make a a shakurerie board. Not a whole lot. And our friend Gail, our other sister Gail, she’s going to be here. Excited. Yes. She’s going to be here. And uh so we’re going to we’re going to be along with us as well. Y’all come y’all tune in. We all going to be here together. Uhhuh. And then you know Kevin, he going to be here, you know. And uh so we’re going to we we’re just going to have a time. Yeah. Maybe some of my family members might say, “Hey, y’all probably wondering where they at.” They don’t like to be seen. So, maybe they voices. I don’t think they want you to. Yeah. My oldest daughter, she be like, “Hey, what she hiding from?” My daughter’s different. Oh, her daughter is the is the is the uh what is she? She going to talk. She gonna say, “Hey.” She gonna say, “What y’all doing?” And then y’all will get Well, they get chance to meet Sugar Mama. They’ll get chance to meet Sugar Mama. That’s her great grandbaby, my little Sugar. She going to be here. And y’all, let me tell you, I’m going to make this cake. She’s so cute. And And when you pick her up, she just lay on she lay on your shoulder and then she’ll sometimes she’ll take and pat your back. I’m like, “Girl, you I’m going to sleep. You pat my back. Tell your sister. She She’ll be one of the six.” Uhhuh. And then she holding you. You going to be patting her back. She patting you too. Next thing I know, I’m like, she said, and then she and she love me, put my cheek next to her cheek. And then I whisper in her ear. I said, “Sugar mama. Sugar mama. I love me some sugar mama. Sugar mama. Sugar mama. I love my sugar.” And honey, she just bust out and she just laugh. That’s the cutest she can be. So hopefully Sugar Mama will be here tomorrow. So y’all will get chance to meet her. I told you I did a whole video with Sugar Mama. She was over here. I did a whole big video with Sugar Mama and something I did. I don’t know. I accidentally hit it and it it erased the entire video. I said sugar mama going to get ready to do her little debut. Okay. So, let’s go ahead and get this going. Okay. All right. Okay, family. This is what we’re going to need to make our delicious pound cake. My flour of choice. I either use white lily or swan down. I love swan down cake flour to make my cakes. And this is everything we’re going to need. I’m going to put as we add and I’ll let you know what I’m doing. And I’ll put the recipe for this delicious pound cake down below. And this is uh some Jell-O instant pudding I’m going to add inside of the cake. And also, I’m going to make a slurry to go on top of the cake with this. And also, this is my sugar. The sugar is 2 and 1/2 cups of sugar. And so what sis did, she uh zested lemon to go in here. Now, if you going to make a pound cake like this and you really want that lemon flavor, go ahead and zest your um lemon in and add your sugar and um the night before so the oil from the sugar will release and this sugar is going to smell good. Sister said, “It smells good, doesn’t it, sister?” You can smell it. That sugar and that lemon together. So, let’s go ahead and get uh started. If you want to get a pencil or a pen and a piece of paper, but I’m going to tell you everything that I’m putting in. the first thing. Oh, here here here’s Big Bera here, y’all. Big boy. Oh, yeah. Big record. You know, I hate I hate using this one, but I’m gonna use it. Um I have one out in the garage and I have a hand mixer, but for what I need to do with the butter and the sugar, I’m going to need uh need to use this big boy right here. So, we what we’re going to do, we’re going to cream three sticks of butter, 2 and 1/2 cups of of uh sugar, and with the zest of the lemon, we’re going to uh cream these in there. And then we’ll start building our cake. And I tell you what all we’re going to do. Okay, let’s go. So, we’re going to crack our eggs, too. So, let’s go ahead and get this started. So, this is everything that we’re going to need. Now, our buttermilk high powdered sugar is for the topping. Okay, we have our baking powder and salt mixed together. And one of these right here is this Jell-O pudding is about two tablespoons of that. And we have our baking. We have our lemon flavor. We have our um lemon, fresh lemon juice. And I would advise don’t use any artificial lemon bottle lemon. If you want a good cake, a good lemon cake, use fresh lemon. Okay, so let’s go ahead and get it started. Okay, family. So, we have um our three sticks of room temperature butter, 2 and 1/2 cups of um sugar and with the zest of maybe a lemon and a half we had. So, we going to go ahead and start this and we’re going to let it we going to let it blend together until it get light and fluffy. Okay, family. We going in with one at a time for the edge. [Music] [Music] Okay, family. Now we have our we have our um three cups of flour. So we’re going in with our baking powder and salt. And we going in with our lemon pudding. And it’s any brand of lemon pudding. And we’re going to sift that. Okay. We’re going to get that sifted and we’re going to get it ready to uh go in this mixer with our dry ingredients. Okay. Flaming. We’re going in with our lemon flavor. vanilla flavor. And I’ll give you the measurements for that. And also our uh juice, our lemon juice. So, we’re going to start this again. [Music] So, we’re going to go ahead and add one cup of our flour mixture. And Let that mix. [Applause] [Music] Okay, our flour mixture and buttermilk. So, we’re going to continue to alternate this. Okay, y’all. We uh scraping our bowl down some. This partic particular uh KitchenAid. So, the reason I don’t care for it, y’all, because it don’t lift up. This part don’t lift up. Okay. So, we I’m going to scrape the just scrape this bowl down the best I can. Okay, family. We greased and u fled our pan. We greased it with some Crisco. And we’re going to go ahead and get this cake pan filled up with our batter. Okay, family. Our cake is in the oven. It’s on 325 and it’s going to be in there about an hour and 12 minutes. But it all depends on your oven, y’all. So, uh, just, um, just think about that because my oven sometimes it cook a little bit longer. So, we going in with about 3 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. And this is, uh, two cups of powdered sugar. And that’s fresh lemon juice. We’re going in with about um, let’s say 2 tablebspoon of that lemon pudding mix. Okay. So now we’re going in with just a tinch of buttermilk. Just a little bit. You can use water in this if you want to, but I’m going to use a little bit of buttermilk. So we’re going in with about a tablespoon of buttermilk. And we and we’re going in with one cap full of vanilla flavor. Okay. So we’re going to mix this together. So we’re going to mix this until all of that powdered sugar is dissolved in there real good. And we’re going to set this aside. And this is what we’re going to drizzle on top of our pound cake, our delicious lemon pound cake. Okay. So, this is about the consistency that I want. So, if you want yours a little bit thinner, you can add a little bit more milk if you want to or water. Okay, family. We are going in with our lemon drizzle. And I’m just going to spread this on top like a icing because it’s kind of thick. Okay, family. Our cake is cool. So, I poured the the icing on there and the icing was thick, so I sort of just just let it glide over the cake. And I had some strawberries in the refrigerator that I did not want to go back. You know, I’m famous for using my vegetables and fruit that I don’t want to go back. So, we’re going to go ahead and give this cake a cut. And we’re going to have a slice. Y’all, this is going to be a delicious lemon lemon cake. Okay, let’s go ahead and try it. Lemon pound cake. What you think, sis? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Okay, family. Here it is. Our delicious lemon pound cake. Okay, family. We’re done with our cake. Best boy. And our sister’s going to take a bite. And here it is, y’all. Our delicious delicious lemon pound cake. And if you see bits of the lemon zest, I don’t know whether you can see it in this cake. Y’all, this cake is absolutely And um whenever you’re making your topping or your even your frosting because it’s a good stabilizer for whipped topping. Uh when you’re using um what’s that? No, heavy cream. When you use a heavy cream, it’s a good stabilizer. But I like to even when I’m doing powdered sugar, I like to put a little bit of that little. If you’re doing strawberry cake, put a little strawberry um instant pudding or whatever kind of instant pudding. Y’all, instant pudding make the cake taste good cuz this cake has instant pudding in it. Mhm. Look at that. Mhm. So, this is our lemon cake. Yes. So, we going to go ahead and take a bite. Sister, you want to pray? Yes, Lord. Thank you, Father, for this food. Thank you for providing for the food in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. And amen. Okay, let’s lay it down. It’s soft, y’all. It’s so soft. Look at that. That’s nice. Look at y’all. Good. I know since it’s so late, I won’t get the recipe down for you tonight, but I’ll put the recipe down for you. This is delicious. Very moist. M. It’s so good, y’all. Some lemon ice cream with it. What’s vanilla? You like lemon ice cream? Oh, vanilla. I think you get lemon go with the cake. You get banana. I’m tell it was so fun. I had to laugh. I don’t know what I was telling Boo when I was saying that he open he Oh my god. I tell him he going to open up his mouth. I said, “You going to open up your mouth mighty big.” And she said, “Well, you can open up your mouth big, too. Girl, you thought I didn’t get mad. I was cracking her. Huh? She told the truth. Tell the truth. She y’all. Oh my goodness. That’s very good. It’s very moist, y’all. This is the best pound cake. Yes. This is definitely going to be in the recipe book when we do the recipe book. Put the peach one. Mhm. I’mma put the peach pancake in there. Very delicious. Very moist. It’s good. Mhm. about. And when you grade your um lemon zest in with your uh sugar, do it the night before to let those oils release. And you talking about good. And sister, she grated grated a little bigger, not the tiny ones. And that that zest is all through this cake. This is the best lemon cake, y’all. It’s a good melt right in your mouth. Mhm. It is so good. M. and take it from me. I will not lie to you about this cake. Won’t do it. Won’t do me no justice. So, this cake is going to take that piece of This cake is absolutely delicious and we’re not going to eat it up. We’re going to save it for tomorrow. can’t if you can’t resist it. This cake put me in the mind of um years ago I did Queen Latifah’s favorite pound cake. It was good, but it wasn’t lemon. This lemon pound cake is fabulous. Fabulous, y’all. It’s absolutely delicious. So, we going to go on. Y’all getting this recipe late. Yes, you are. And I’ll put the recipe down on how I make my my frosting or whatever. I I’ll put that down. And um if you want to lessen the sugar because, you know, you have that uh that sugary topping. If you want to put instead of two and 1/2 cups of sugar, just put two cups of sugar. But I I wouldn’t take anything from this cake. This cake is absolutely delicious. We’re going to put the top on it and we will have it tomorrow. Yes, we will. God bless y’all. God keep y’all.
