– Y’all.
(Paula giggles) Today’s video is… What word am I looking for? It’s to honor Elvis Presley. And I’m gonna make him
(Paula giggles) a fried peanut butter and banana and honey sandwich. From what I understand, that was like his favorite that his grandma fixed for him, or an aunt, it was somebody. But anyway, he liked crunchy peanut butter, I like creamy peanut butter. So I’m gonna use the creamy. And I’m not, this recipe will
make like four sandwiches, well I’m not gonna make but two because I don’t know
if I can count on Eddie and Theresa to help me eat them. (Paula giggles)
So I’m doing this like halfway. All right what I want to do is just spray my
(can spritzing) measuring cup a little bit so that honey will slide on out. And I’m gonna mix three tablespoons. This could take a minute. Three tablespoons of honey. I think I’m going to do this. Three tablespoons of honey, and I think it’s to like three fourths a cup of peanut butter. That’s a lot faster, isn’t it? Okie doke. And spraying that sure
does help anything sticky like syrups and honeys and all that come out so much easier. All right, so I’m just gonna mix this up. I love peanut butter and honey. I eat a apple with my
homemade peanut butter almost every day of the
world. I just love it. – [Theresa] Every day of the world? – Every day of the world, yeah. I don’t do that unless I have my homemade
in the refrigerator though. I don’t like the store bought so much. Okay so I’m gonna put about a tablespoon of cinnamon in there. And I got our pan getting hot over here. Now we’re gonna fry this naturally, he liked his fried in butter
from what I understand. So who could blame me? That’s certainly what
I’d wanna fry it in too. Oh my gosh, I was so crazy about Elvis. When I was like 13, I got a album and I took
a picture of us close up (Paula giggles) and it looked like we were together. (Paula laughs) I have no idea what happened
to that picture, y’all. No idea. So now I’ve got that mixed up. Now I’m gonna come over here and I’m gonna mix up some
more cinnamon with this sugar. And after we get these grilled, we’re going to sprinkle our sandwiches with this. Now you know I have no idea
if this is the way Eddie… Eddie.
(Paula laughs) Elvis. They both start with a E, y’all. (Paula laughs) If he liked his sandwiches like this, but we’re gonna go for it. All right, three tablespoons of butter. I’m gonna break that down a
little bit so it’ll melt faster. But you just wanna make sure
you don’t burn this butter, ’cause if you do, you’ll just
have to start all over again. Now while that’s heating
up, I got it on real low. I’m gonna bump it up a little bit. And like I said, I’m just
gonna make two sandwiches. And I’m gonna spread my peanut butter. See my peanut butter, I make mine not as hard. ‘Cause this is gonna be hard to spread. I don’t wanna tear up my bread. There we go, we about to get it. All right, now… Now we gonna put some banana slices on it. These bananas are little green. (Paula laughing)
– I know. The store doesn’t have the ripe ones.
– I know. I know. I know you can’t… Bananas and avocados, they can cause me some griefs.
– Mm-hm. – Okay. You can put as much peanut butter and as much bananas that you want to. Now I’m gonna see if I
can’t spread a little bit on this other side. Just so it’ll help hold those bananas in. I’ve never seen peanut
butter’s so thick, y’all. – [Theresa] It’s the sticky honey. – Yeah I guess that’s
what thickened it up. Okay see our butter is doing nicely and there’s lots of butter.
(Paula giggles) I used what Elvis told me to. Here we go. One for Elvis, one for me.
(Paula giggles) Because I wanna make sure that butter gets on both sides of them. And if I didn’t flip them over, all the butter would wind up on one side. So now we’re just gonna toast those until they are golden brown. I love you Elvis. Ooh, sneak peek. Sneak peek. Now I’m gonna sprinkle this with the sugar and cinnamon. Yum. See what I got that on. Oops. Careful Paula. All right. Look, my shirt, this
is so dangerous, y’all. See why you shouldn’t wear big sleeves in a kitchen? It can be dangerous. Mm, mm, mm. Elvis, I don’t know if
that was enough butter. I sure don’t know.
(Paula laughs) All right, that cinnamon made
them like toasty and brown. I bet the kids would love this. All right, who’s gonna help me salute my Elvis?
– Me. (Paula laughs) Here you go Theresa. – Thank you very much.
– You’re welcome. Wait, now we got to-
– Oh my goodness. – We got to make a toast. Yum.
(Paula laughs) – Now this is decadent.
– It is decadent. Bon appetit.
(Theresa and Paula laugh) – He had good taste.
– He dadgum sure did, honey. Love and best dishes. For all of y’all out there that were Elvis lovers back in the day, you gotta try it. Hey, y’all, it’s Paula Deen. Now, if you enjoyed this video,

  1. Do you know some children who would love this fried peanut butter sandwich? Or better yet, would you?!

  2. Gross she went to Trump's dinner party in Florida over the weekend while millions of people are starving.

  3. I liked Elvis Presley’s music, movies etc. Ms. Paula I found out that when you mix honey with peanut butter it thickens up quickly. I like Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I’m an old fashioned Texan, so that sandwich doesn’t excite me at all. Y’all have a blessed day today.🙂

  4. My mom and Elvis were born the same day, same year. She will be 91 this upcoming January. Hard to imagine Elvis at 91. She would fix these for us once in a while and always mention that it was his favorite. I grew up going to the drive in to watch his movies, and his music has always been part of my life.

  5. I enjoy Paula’s videos, but it bothers me that she’s always licking her fingers and then touching the ingredients or the foods. 🤢

  6. He liked bacon 🥓 on his peanut butter, bacon & banana sandwiches. Bring in the bacon 🥓🥜🍌🥪

  7. It was his maid he loved that made him the sandwich. She toasted the bread first and there was only peanut butter and banana on it. He used creamy peanut butter.
