SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Chef Craig von Foerster of Harvest Restaurant in Rogersville shared his cranberry apple chutney recipe, a perfect addition to holiday meals.

The simple recipe combines fresh or frozen cranberries with Honeycrisp apples and takes about 10 minutes to prepare. Von Foerster said the chutney pairs well with turkey, ham or other holiday dishes.

The recipe uses common ingredients and requires minimal cooking time, making it accessible for home cooks preparing holiday meals.

Cranberry Apple Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pound fresh or frozen cranberries1 cup sugar1 cup orange juice3 strips of orange peel1 vanilla bean, split1 Honeycrisp apple, peeled and chopped

Instructions:

Place all ingredients in a heavy-bottom potStir with a heatproof spatulaPlace on medium-high burner and cook for approximately 10 minutes or until thickTransfer to a shallow container and surface wrap
