Ingredients

  • Juice of one small lime, rind reserved
  • 2 ounces rye or bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon orange Curaçao or Cointreau
  • Seltzer or club soda, chilled

    One drink

    Preparation

    1. Stir the lime juice, rye or bourbon and orange Curaçao or Cointreau in an 8-ounce glass with 2 ice cubes. If you like, drop in the rind of half a lime. Top off with soda, stir gently and serve with a straw trimmed to extend over lip of glass by 2 inches or so, if necessary.
