Preparation

  1. Add the damiana and sugar to 1/2 cup boiling water. Cover for 2 minutes, strain and refrigerate until cool.
  2. Measure 3 ounces of the damiana tea into a cocktail shaker. (Cover and refrigerate the remainder for another use.) Add the Scotch, preserves and lemon juice with two big handfuls of ice and shake vigorously. Strain over ice into a Cognac snifter or an Old-Fashioned glass. Add the garnish of your choice.
