Hi! I am looking for a cooking / cocktail making / etc class to bring a visitor to next month. Can be a little more “elegant” ($300 pp max.) as opposed to a large group, BYOB cooking class. For ex:
We were looking into the oyster-shucking class by [Regarding Oysters](https://www.regardingoysters.com/) but unfortunately they’ll be unavailable that weekend.
Are there any similar classes, or even similar concepts hosted in someone’s home?
Interested:
– cocktails
– fresh ingredients like seafood, sushi
– unique cuisines
Less interested:
– pasta, pizza making
– French pastries
– Sur La Table
– ICE
– League of Kitchens
Thank you in advance!

Setsugekka in East Village have tea ceremony/macha making lessons. Went there for the first time yesterday to try out their matcha (it was really good) and the owner was super nice and knowledgeable. I think she mention that she does lessons pretty often. ([https://www.setsugekkany.com/activities/](https://www.setsugekkany.com/activities/))
Korin is a Japanese knife store and they used to have knife sharpening lessons and other random events. I feel like they stopped doing them after covid though.
A private lesson w owner at Osakana for making sushi is really fun— just call/email. I think it’s like 200 a person.
