Recently, I have been working to expand my sushi horizons and often will order a chef’s nigiri box to expand my palate. Today I did so and it had the usual salmon, tuna, shrimp, yellowtail, and california roll. — I really like glazed rolls in the top right and cannot identify them/havent had before. The fish was sweet tasting. Please help!

yes they are sushi
Eel. So good! I think eel is definitely a sleeper recommendation for people who haven’t really tried sushi before. I think everything you have here should be standard beginner sushi.
