Truth was the second stop on our BBQ trip this week after Bar A BBQ. Went to the Houston location as Brenham is closed on Wednesdays. Food was amazing, the sides really stand out here. This tray was $120 with tip. Highly recommend for anyone who is rolling through Houston, it truly lives up to the hype.

How much did the hype cost though? That’s what we all wanna know! lol
What are the top most and bottom most side dishes?
25 years ago, good BBQ options in Houston was pretty poor. Paled in comparison to San Antonio, where there was good BBQ on just about every corner.
Looks killer. The Brussels are crazy good!! When I went I got a bad slice of brisket but the ribs and sausage were awesome!
God I miss good bbq. Living in Wisconsin it’s tough to find.
Potato bread.nice
That looks so good
Overall I liked their food, the brisket was extra wet which is how I like it and I recall the sprouts being pretty good as well
Looks good! Need to get back out to Texas and give it a try!
Could never imagine having food so good that your hours are literally determined by when you sell out.
Unheard of where I live cuz all the food around here is so shit
No one asked for it but it’s an easy side. The corn pudding recipe, jiffy corn bread mix 8.5oz, 8oz sour cream, 15.5oz whole kernel corn drained, 14.75 oz cream corn, 1 stick butter melted, 1 TBSP sugar, 1 TBSP roasted hatch green chilis sauce, 1/2c shredded sharp cheddar. Oven 350 55-60min. Add cheese after 30mins cook time.
The spread looks great but why can’t any “fancy” bbq make some Texas toast or cheesy bread or fresh sourdough instead of some ghetto wonder bread looking shit.
I’m not into bbq culture, so can someone explain the practice of buying $100-300 platters and the restaurants serving you up some slices of grocery store bread? Like shit is not even expensive to source from a baker or bakery if you can’t justify making your own
Oh I do!!! But I still enjoy someone else making g it for me on occasion 😂
The Brussels are on point!
