Living in Texas is understanding the joy of shopping at HEB. Also cooked a rack of St Louis cut spares for good measure

Can’t find these in Central Florida

Those look awesome. I haven’t found anting like that here in SC either, but I want to get to know some of the farmers here cause I’m sure there’s things to be had here like that

7.99 a lb is kind of rough, figure what 40% of that weight is bone

Wish these were easier to get. Wicked smoke and love that heavy pepper rub.

  6. For people over the age of 33 (me). Were they always this expensive?

Looks great. Normally they are $17.99 here but sometimes on sale I can get them for $10.99. Stupid PNW.

For what it’s worth for people who don’t live in Texas and can’t find Dino ribs for sale, hit up your local butcher. You can always call a day or two in advance and request plate ribs to be set aside for you, if it’s not a cut that they offer regularly. Probably gonna cost more than HEB or Costco, but at least you can feel good about supporting a local business.

  9. Impossible to find in CA. I have to order them online

The HEB by the used to mis-label these by weight and I’d average $4-5/lb…evidently, that guy got fired. Boo!

You guys in TX have the good stuff at good prices! I was in Frisco a few months ago, saw briskets for under 40$! They’re $80+ in Atl!
