I’m staying at an AirBnB that has this mini (or minimax) Egg. Given I have a Large at home, I was excited to try a different size. I still am, but is this the right size Fire Grate?
It seems like there is hardly any room for charcoal. I also noticed there is no Fire Ring, but if there was, it would likely rise over the gasket, right?
Is this a mini egg of misfits lol?

Looks like the fire box for a larger egg… I’ve never looked at a mini though.

That’s definitely the wrong fire box. Even the mini max has a fire box and fire ring. Hard to say what size that’s off of.

It’s definitely a minimax. I think the fire grate is right, but the ceramic inside looks weird. There should be more space in the middle and the grate should fit further down.
Edit: I think the inside pieces might be in the wrong position. Is there a shorter ceramic ring below the one we can see in the picture? If so, that one should be on top.
It’s a minimax. But wrong fire bowl, and no ring as you noticed.

Judging by the smaller ash basin, I’d bet that’s a bowl from a small?
