Hi friends, hope your weekend is going well.
I saw this in a local marketplace. Which model is this? And how much would you pay for this?
It seems a bit old, but I know that doesn’t matter as long as it’s not damaged. I really appreciate your help!

Looks like an XL with that wide body… and there’s too many eggs for sale out there for 3 to 400 so don’t overpay unnecessarily
Holy crap that might even be a 2XL. Where’s the rest of your post? Looks like you ended suddenly.
Thats one of the early XL Eggs. They had a goofy dome that looked like it got squished when they first came out. FYI, the XL Eggspander won’t work in those early units because of their weird domes.
size XL. Fair price anywhere from $550-700 all depends on shape of the fire box and ring, additional accessories, etc
It might be an older XL. My own XL looks a little different. My handle does not have visible screws in the front and only has three. In comparing the size of the dome to the size of the reggulator vent cap, the one pictured here looks about the same as mine.
XL eggs are a lot like houses with pools … a much smaller pool of potential buyers than with a L or M. That should figure into the valuation in addition to going rate.
I have a large family and I’ve never seen the need for an XL. I mean if I had a catering side job, maybe.
That’s an old style XL. Don’t compare the price that might be worth with a newer model. There’s a reason they ditched the low slung lid. Offer low.
I saw this listing and as long as everything’s intact inside I’d offer 3-400. The old style bands should be replaced as they’re a hazard for the lid falling out. That’s going to be a few hundred bucks plus gaskets replaced.
I called CGS and based on my original firebox and squat dome like this is, none of the eggspander stuff will fit when I spoke to them. Need the new firebox which is shorter and the taller dome to use the accessories.
Otherwise I love my 1st gen XL and I’m sure you would too!
Shit that’s a 1st gen XL. Very cool
Old school XL. I wouldn’t pay more than $500 for it
The cart wheels look rusty. Gonna need to be replaced. More than the gasket and maybe some other parts. Seeing how it’s an older no longer made model. Parts gonna be aftermarket or used. Warranty?
$3-400, might be another $2-500 in parts/table.
Look around on marketplace. I just bought a year old XL with the table and stones for $1400 (brand new 3k).
I went to BBQ Island and the guy working there told me to not buy new unless you absolutely wanted to. They all have a lifetime warranty so just reregister it under your name super easy.
