I buy Amend for Kelloggs fairly often, same problem but I solved it by making 2 products from one. First is a nice fluffy 1cmx1cm sifted compost and the other is a nutrient rich mulch for pots. Takes some extra work but it’s not that bad and it’s a good time to add a little extra gypsum while sifting.

I bought miracle grow organic potting soil at Costco and I’m having the same issue, it looks and behaves more like a mulch than a potting soil.
I read this in Jeff Goldblum’s voice.
I found a source of free mulch that ends up being more than half compost after sifting. If I’m gonna have to sift anyways then why pay for it

I feel weird saying this because I’m not very old, but I remember soil bags having WAY less wood bits in the past.
You don’t want pure soil in your potting mix. Like you need other things that regulate air and water and won’t become compacted over time.
No mention of size of bag. Percentage. Nothing.
This looks like organics to me.
