Was craving an egg salad sandwich today, so I made one. Don’t see many on here. What’s your secret ingredient for egg salad? Mine’s dill.

    Oh my god I love egg salad. I like to put a little relish and a dash of vinegar in mine.

    Imo the egg salad needs to be mashed up more otherwise the dressing is too saucy and wet.

    Need it mingled throughout the many broken pieces of egg rather than just slopping it up

    Chopped pickles and spicy brown mustard. I rarely have capers in my house but chopped cappers also are amazing in it.

    I make mine like deviled eggs. With mustard, dash of red wine vinegar and paprika

    That’s beautiful, first off. And I love dill in egg(tuna/chicken) salad so we’re on the same page here.

    My only secrets are to steam the eggs until they are orange and jammy in the middle but not liquid anymore. They’re in a Non-Newtonian state. I’m not a physicist, but I assume that’s the correct usage of that term.

    The main thing I add is tomato, but I’m obsessed with tomatoes.

    I love dill in my egg salad, too. My egg salad is basically tartar sauce with hardboiled eggs in it.

    Mayo, chives, sea salt, black pepper, and paprika. Thats all that is needed.

    Mr recipe is simple, but my trick is I mix everything but the whites up first like deviled egg paste, then I add the whites and just barely blend it. It makes it the perfect consistency, imo.

    Dill goes hard im an egg salad. Mine is usually 50/50 yellow mustard and Dijon, bit of horseradish, white wine vinegar, s+p and dill, and mayo

  11. Dill and some chunky eggs apparently. This is the chunkiest egg salad I’ve seen. I should try it that way. It’s always too mushy for me when I make it.

    I want my eggs boiled medium, I like to smash them with a fork until fairly fine. I use Duke’s mayonnaise, salt & fresh cracked pepper on Sara Lee white bread. So I like mine simple, occasionally I’ll add some green onion if I have some. I eat an egg sandwich most days, to me they are perfect.

    For it’s adding chopped olives. The pimento stuffed ones with diced green peppers.

    I love egg salad. I make it with salt, pepper oregano and mayo. (and eggs if course)
