It’s fine. Literally just fine. It does not scratch the itch, I can do and have done better at home myself.

I’m not a huge fan of Lou’s deep dish, but I’ll happily eat it on occasion (particularly if I’m stoned). One of my big complaints about their usual deep dish is that there’s too much tomato and resulting tomato wetness on the top… that’s not the case here. Ours didn’t have nearly enough tomato and it was weirdly cheesy and the dough was mush because of the cheese right on top of it.

There was a lot of hotdog flavor, a lot of sport pepper, a lot of mustard, but I think it really needed more pickle, relish, and celery salt for it to be more flavorful. The mustard was also really gloopy and thick in some places where that was all you
got, and missing in other places.

Onions weren’t cooked fully but weren’t raw either? Give me one or the other, not some half cooked half raw weird texture. I get that you can’t overload it with wet things, but throw it on at the end, squeeze the liquid out before adding it, etc.

5.85/10 for me. Would try again, but only if I’m more stoned than I am now. Could elevate to a 7.5/10 by fixing all of the above, for sure.

My husband (also stoned): “I think it’s pretty good. 7/10.”
