Welcome back to Soup in September. Today is episode 4. It’s our last one, but I’m going to give you a slow cooker soup recipe because you guys know how I feel about my slow cooker. We’re adding a pound of cooked ground sausage with onions, celery, carrots, garlic. Season it with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add in four cups of chicken broth. And then let this cook on high for about 4 to 5 hours. Now, in a separate bowl, we’re going to whisk together a cup and a half of half and half with a/4 a cup of flour. Add it to your slow cooker along with 19 ounces of frozen cheese tortillini. Now, let this cook for an additional 45 minutes. And then we’re just going to add in two cups of chopped spinach along with one cup of milk. I’ll let this cook for about 5 to 10 more minutes to thicken up and then it’s ready to serve.
