I just got home from a trip to Europe and on my last day in Florence I had this incredible dessert. I've tried googling what it could be but nothing seems to fit. The waitress at the restaurant just called it orange cake (not on the printed menu) but it wasn't a typical cake texture. It was sticky and almost seemed like it had layers… like a baklava. Google keeps suggesting "whole orange Sicilian cake" but like I said it wasn't a cakey consistency. Any ideas?

I tried to do a search in Italian but I couldn’t find anything that looks like that. The restaurant website does not mention any dessert, they simply say that they have decadent desserts.
Can you speak Italian? Because I think I found the recipe. If you need it in English I can translate it for you.
