A new soft serve and coffee concept is landing in the Upper Arlington area.

The eatery, called Mallway Market Coffee + Cone, will be located at 1966 N. Mallway Dr., inside the Mallway at Old Arlington, a small, walkable retail and dining area situated in Upper Arlington’s historic district. It plans to operate as a grab-and-go spot for coffee drinks and soft serve.

“I wanted to create something that fit naturally into people’s everyday routines — a place to swing by for a coffee on the way to dropping their kids off at school or on their way to work or a place kids can grab ice cream or a snack after school,” owner Alyssa Litzinger said. “The idea was really inspired by my kids — they love being out and about in the neighborhood and I wanted a spot where other kids could make those same memories, and where parents/adults would love stopping just as much.”

The new concept will offer “classic vanilla” soft serve and either chocolate or a rotating seasonal flavor. And yes, you can combine both flavors in a swirl, sundaes and ice cream cookie sandwiches will be available as well. From a drink perspective, Mallway Market Coffee + Cone will serve One Line Coffee, with a focus on “approachable favorites,” including lattes, cold brew, drip coffee and a handful of seasonal drinks.

According to Litzinger, the eatery is still under construction, and is slated to open later this year, although an exact date wasn’t provided.
