    Matouks is awesome.

My favorite is the “hot pepper sauce”

It’s really good shit and really hot also

I just opened my first jar of Calypso sauce last night. Nice flavor, and more of a kick than I was expecting. Also have their west Indian sauce unopened. Just came from Amazon 2 days ago.

I resorted to this when I couldn’t get wiri wiri to make Guyanese peppa sauce. Which has no comparable challenger IMO.

One of my favorite sauces is Matouk’s Trinidad Scorpion. All the heat with good flavor.

  6. Is this found at any regular stores? Or is Amazon the best bet?

  7. theprov0cateur

YES! This is such a versatile and delicious sauce

  8. Somebody is asking if I have tried Bertie’s sauce. I will have to give it a try. Nothing like Trini food in the world, I long for a Shark and Bake on Minitas beach, or a really good Roti, perhaps just some peas and rice.

Matouks is my go to sauce. Their flambeau sauce is so tasty. The others like calypso are similarly good with a real fermented scotch bonnet flavour and some mustard in the background.

    If I see Matouk’s *ANYWHERE*, it’s an instant-buy!
