  1. These are simple goals with a simple journal that everyone can use. I’m planning on expanding my gardens and growing more this year but I also don’t want to overwhelm myself which can be easy to do the older I get.

  2. Heirloom varieties are great to grow, but they are more susceptible to diseases. I like saving seeds, though.

  3. The "ridiculous" simplicitty of your gardening calender/journal is absolute genius and so refreshing!

  4. Shaye, if you have the space to experiment next year you should save your favorite hybrid seeds too…a lot of the most common ones have been stabilized to some degree (seed producers don't want to hand cross every time either).
