  1. Correction I said "all living organisms need water and oxygen to survive", but meant to just say water since some bacteria don't need oxygen to survive 😅

  2. due to pests, I needed some sort of enclosed container for my compost. But since I didn’t want to invest a ton of money into one, I was able to find a really nice compost tumbler on Facebook marketplace. So I would recommend that to anybody who may not be able to afford a brand new one, it was in really good condition and for way cheaper.

  3. I discovered your channel two days ago. I'm 28, share an apartment with my wonderful girlfriend, and only recently have we tried our hand at gardening. Every summer for the last 3 years we've planted tomatoes. Every step of the process has felt both equally exciting as it's been challenging. Working with our hands to tend to our tomatoes has been so satisfying; in some sense, it feels like raising a child of your own. Only last year did we figure out what blossom end rot was! It was scary, but with every problem we face, we troubleshoot and learn new things.

I went on a tangent from what I initially wanted to say, haha. I really just wanted to share my excitement, appreciation, and a bit of our naivety to the whole process. I have been binging your guys' channel since I found it. We're preparing for the last frost, and with your help, I feel empowered to come into this next season strong and confident that our tomatoes will live through a summer more fulfilled. I look forward to translating our new skills into growing similar types of plants, and eventually cold-weather crops. 🙂 Thank you for taking up so much of your time to share your knowledge with all of us!

  4. Hey guys I live in shady side. Any chance I could get some advice and maybe a tour? I'm tryna create a micro garden in the backyard to give me respite from my negative roommates

  5. I would suggest a tarp or something for your pile especially if it’s almost done because nitrogen is water soluble and other nutrients. Because one time I had a wonderful dark almost finished compost bin and then a big rain came and the size of my pile cut in half overnight and was less dark I’ve covered my pile ever since.
