She also urged women to prioritise regular health check-ups and highlighted the importance of early detection.Pankaj shared a new portrait of herself on social media, in which she is seen smiling at the camera in a black outfit with her short hair styled in a sleek bob. The image carried the message, \u201cCancer tested my body, but it couldn\u2019t break my spirit. Now, I live with purpose.\u201dSharing the picture, Pankaj wrote, \u201cCancer became a chapter in my story\u2014but it will never be the whole story.\u201d She added, \u201cThis journey tested my body, strengthened my spirit and gave me a renewed sense of purpose.\u201dThe chef, who has been candid about different stages of her treatment, said she was choosing to approach her recovery with gratitude and courage. \u201cAs I continue to heal, I choose to live each day with greater gratitude, courage and joy,\u201d she wrote.Pankaj also used her experience to remind women not to delay their health screenings. \u201cTo every woman reading this: please don\u2019t postpone your regular health check-ups,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cEarly detection can change everything.\u201dPankaj Bhadouria\u2019s breast cancer diagnosis and treatmentPankaj had first publicly revealed her breast cancer diagnosis on May 28, 2026. Sharing a picture from a hospital bed, she asked her followers for their prayers and support. \u201cI have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Need your prayers and support,\u201d she wrote.Around the same time, she shared a video from the hospital, accompanied by the words, \u201cGoing for tests and more tests\u2026..not a happy place to be.\u201dThe following day, Pankaj revealed that she was undergoing surgery. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the procedure, she remained hopeful and wrote that she knew she would \u201cbounce back\u201d, while once again asking her followers to keep her in their prayers.She later revealed that the surgery had been successful. However, her post-surgery biopsy reports detected a 2mm invasive HER2-positive component. Following the findings, doctors advised her to undergo 12 sessions of chemotherapy along with one year of targeted therapy.Throughout her treatment, Pankaj has also spoken openly about the emotional challenges that came with chemotherapy. Hair loss, in particular, proved to be one of the more difficult aspects of the journey.Before starting chemotherapy, she decided to cut her long hair short on her own terms. Sharing her thoughts ahead of treatment, she wrote, \u201cI begin with my chemotherapy. Who knows what chemotherapy might throw my way. Hair loss or not, Let me enjoy what I have, when I have, in the way I want to have.\u201dWhen the hair loss eventually began, however, Pankaj admitted that knowing it was coming did not make the experience easier. Sharing a picture of herself combing her hair and looking at the strands that had fallen out, she wrote, \u201cYou know it. You are prepared for it. But when it hits you, it hits hard.\u201dShe described losing her \u201cthick strong hair\u201d as traumatic, while remaining hopeful that it would eventually grow back.Now, with her latest message, Pankaj is looking beyond the difficult chapters of her treatment. Her reminder to women is simple: prioritising regular health checks and catching a disease early can make a crucial difference.
