Stieffenhofer-Brandson and Brioza first connected during Published’s early days, and have since cooked together at State Bird Provisions and Winnipeg’s RAW. Hitzer, a longtime friend and collaborator of Stieffenhofer-Brandson, later joined the pair in San Fran.

“This dinner is really a story about friendship and our shared culinary connection,” Stieffenhofer-Brandson says in a release. “Mandel and I have shared more kitchens than I can count. Getting all three of us together in Vancouver for one night is going to be such an experience for our guests. I’m really looking forward to having them in our kitchen.”

The tasting menu will feature dishes from all three chefs, with local ingredients, international influences, and a mix of acidity, heat, and spice worked into the evening.

“Gus and Stuart are two of my favourite people to cook beside, and I always enjoy bringing a little bit of Winnipeg to Vancouver,” Hitzer adds in the release. “It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

There’s some serious restaurant pedigree at the table.
