Ryo Uchimiya, a chef at the popular Nobu restaurant in Malibu, California, was recently killed while he slept in his car. Now, shocking footage has emerged, detailing the events that led to the incident. In footage obtained by KTLA, an SUV can be seen speeding along the Pacific Coast Highway.<\/p>\n
Shockingly, the SUV is seen suddenly veering off the center of the road, heading toward the shoulder. Unfortunately, that’s where the SUV smashes into a parked car, which happened to be where Ryo was sleeping. <\/p>\n
The collision sent Ryo’s parked car into another vehicle in front. The whole scene looked like a set of bowling pins bouncing around before eventually coming to a halt.<\/p>\n
“The video captures the sickening sounds of the wreck \u2014 a thunderous bang followed by the screech of tires as the vehicles are thrown into each other,” The New York Post reports.<\/p>\n
99.1 FM has reported that the driver of the SUV, a 16-year-old boy, was moving at speeds of at least 50 MPH when the crash occurred. <\/p>\n
Ryo Uchimiya Had Worked in Malibu on the Night Before His Death<\/p>\n
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Ryo was later found dead in the back seat of his car. He reportedly arrived at work early that day to prepare for a catering gig in Santa Monica. He opted to take a nap before starting his day.<\/p>\n
Staff at Nobu in Malibu have since confirmed that Ryo worked at the restaurant the night before the crash. <\/p>\n
Currently, the investigation into the incident and what led to the horror smash has provided no new updates. However, as details emerge, they will likely become public where possible.<\/p>\n
