Plans are taking shape for a new Mexican restaurant to open in Wyoming.<\/p>\n
During its Sept. 17 meeting, the Regents of the University of Michigan approve the sale of vacant land at 2160, 2184 and 2200 Metro Lane SW in Wyoming.<\/p>\n
According to board documents, the property “has remained undeveloped and has no identified use in Metro’s nor University of Michigan Health-West’s current of future operational plans.”<\/p>\n
For a proposed $600,000 price tag, the buyer \u2014 listed as Palominos Mexican Cuisine, LLC \u2014 would develop the property as a Mexican restaurant.<\/p>\n
Documents from the City of Wyoming’s July 21 Planning Commission meeting describe the proposed business being roughly 8,515 square feet in size with an additional 725 square feet for an outdoor patio. A 1850 square foot second floor is proposed to include a flexible event space.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the proposal plans for 107 parking spaces.<\/p>\n
City documents note that a Mexican restaurant in this space does align with the city’s Wyoming [re] Imagined Master Plan, adopted in 2021. Palominos Mexican Cuisine, the city commission determined, would provide a place to eat for families of patients at the nearby medical facility, visitors and residents of the nearby neighborhoods.<\/p>\n
