An exact opening date hasn\u2019t been publicly announced, but more information about opening plans will be revealed in the coming weeks, a representative said.<\/p>\n<p>The 19,000-square-foot property will combine five hospitality concepts, including an elevated fine-dining restaurant, casual downstairs dining, an outdoor social space, a live music venue and a private event space.<\/p>\n<p>The business is \u201cset to become one of South Carolina\u2019s largest waterfront dining and entertainment destinations of its kind,\u201d according to the press release.<\/p>\n<p>The property is located within The Retreat at Lake Murray, a 66-acre residential community, a representative for the business said. The listed address doesn\u2019t yet appear on online maps, but the property is near 1777 U.S. 378, not far from one end of Calks Ferry Road. Images posted on its website and Facebook page show a multi-story lodge with large windows overlooking the lake.<\/p>\n<p>What to expect<\/p>\n<p>Dining at the destination is led by local chef Andy Marchant, who will pair Southern influences with a focus on fresh, local ingredients, the press release said.<\/p>\n<p>Before leading Hooked on the Water, Marchant was the executive chef for Cinnamon Hill Kitchen, a scratch catering company in Lexington.<\/p>\n<p>The business\u2019 restaurants will offer distinct menus across its fine-dining and casual restaurant spaces, which will also feature three bars. Its fine-dining room &amp; bar will serve prime steaks and seafood dishes, while the casual concept will offer up burgers and flatbreads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s really nothing else like this on Lake Murray,\u201d Marchant said in the release. \u201cWe\u2019ve put a lot of thought into the menus and what we felt was missing here and what people would actually enjoy. We\u2019re excited to finally get the doors open and let people experience it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The venue will also host live music and other events, with its first performers and event details to be announced closer to opening, the release said.<\/p>\n<p>For anyone already \u201chooked\u201d on the concept, customers can join the \u201cAnchor Club\u201d membership program through the business\u2019 website for free, which offers a first look at menus, opening dates, special events and more, according to the Hooked on the Water website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COLUMBIA \u2014 There\u2019s a new lakeside dining and entertainment destination coming to Lake Murray.
