We cull through inspections that happen weekly and spotlight places ordered shut for violations such as improper food temperatures or cockroaches.<\/p>\n<p>Any restaurant that fails a state inspection must stay closed until it passes a follow-up. (But please don\u2019t contact us: the Sun Sentinel doesn\u2019t inspect restaurants.)<\/p>\n<p>Broward County<\/p>\n<p>Sugar Bae Restaurant &amp; Lounge<\/p>\n<p>8253 Sunset Strip, Fort Lauderdale<\/p>\n<p>Ordered shut: Aug. 7<\/p>\n<p>Why: Six violations (four high-priority), including:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 24 live roaches in kitchen \u201cinside dishwashing machine,\u201d \u201cunder chest freezer,\u201d \u201ccrawling on wall next to triple sink\u201d and \u201cunder food warmer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Stop sale ordered for cheese and cooked potatoes \u201cdue to temperature abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Time\/temperature issue also involved cooked rice.<\/p>\n<p>Status: Reopened Aug. 8 after a follow-up inspection found no violations.<\/p>\n<p>Palm Beach County<\/p>\n<p>Mil Amores Mexican Food<\/p>\n<p>421 Northlake Blvd., Suite A, North Palm Beach<\/p>\n<p>Ordered shut: Aug. 7<\/p>\n<p>Why: Two violations (one high-priority), including:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u201cRaw sewage on ground of establishment kitchen\u2019s floor overflowing from the drains; very strong odor of raw sewage and water rapidly flooding the cook line.
