Nominations for the Division of Arkansas Heritage\u2019s 10th annual Arkansas Food Hall of Fame will close Sept. 30.<\/p>\n
Arkansans from all 75 counties are encouraged to nominate restaurants, restaurateurs, food-themed events and culinary traditions that help define their communities. Nominations are being accepted online at ArkFoodHOF.com.<\/p>\n
The Arkansas Food Hall of Fame has recognized and preserved people, places and traditions that have shaped the state\u2019s culinary identity for a decade. Each nomination helps highlight Arkansas food culture, including longtime establishments that have served generations of families and the people and community traditions carrying those legacies forward.<\/p>\n
Nominations are accepted in five categories:<\/p>\n
Arkansas Food Hall of Fame recognizes long-standing restaurants that help create Arkansas food culture.<\/p>\n
Restaurateur of the Year honors a chef, cook and\/or restaurant owner who has made a significant impact on local food and the larger culinary community.<\/p>\n
Food-Themed Event recognizes a community food-themed event or festival that shares unique food traditions.<\/p>\n
Gone But Not Forgotten remembers past establishments whose legacy has helped shape the state\u2019s food legacy.<\/p>\n
People\u2019s Choice celebrates restaurants or food trucks that have captured the public\u2019s attention, including new discoveries and longtime favorites.<\/p>\n
