Tonya Russ Price                                                                            CharlotteFive                                                                                        <\/p>\n<p>CharlotteFive reached out to Nana Morrison\u2019s Soul Food for more information on Friday, Sept. 18, and was awaiting a response.<\/p>\n<p>The local favorite has long wowed fans with its fried chicken, yams, collard greens and more \u2014 all inspired by time-honored family recipes. It recently earned bragging rights as the city\u2019s best soul food, as voted by CharlotteFive readers in a May poll.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn and Kiana Morrison founded the restaurant after relocating to Charlotte from New York, CharlotteFive previously reported.
