{"id":38253,"date":"2026-09-30T19:04:08","date_gmt":"2026-09-30T19:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.diningandcooking.com\/us\/38253\/"},"modified":"2026-09-30T19:04:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-30T19:04:08","slug":"yelp-best-new-restaurants-2026-nyc-hot-spots-limusina-ambassadors-clubhouse-make-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.diningandcooking.com\/us\/38253\/","title":{"rendered":"Yelp Best New Restaurants 2026: NYC hot spots Limusina, Ambassadors Clubhouse make list"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yelp dropped its Best New Restaurants of 2026, revealing the country\u2019s must-visit new dining hot spots \u2014  based on massive review data and local buzz.<\/p>\n<p>The platform identified that steakhouses and brunch spots were two of this year\u2019s \u201chottest dining trends.\u201d Yelp searches for \u201csteak near me\u201d increased 59% over the last year alone and hit an all-time high in August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>And they also found a major surge in Indian cuisine, with searches for \u201cIndian bowls\u201d up 135% and \u201cIndian food buffet near me\u201d rising 459% compared to the previous 12-month period.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The New York hotspot taking the #3 spot on the list is Limusina, a new Mexican restaurant by Quality Branded \u2014 the restaurant group behind Bad Roman, Quality Bistro and Twin Tails.<\/p>\n<p>And one other new NYC dining spot came in at #10: Ambassadors Clubhouse.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here are the top 5 new restaurants nationwide according to Yelp, along with NYC\u2019s second entry in the top 10:<\/p>\n<p>1. Interior\/Scarlett M. on Yelp<\/p>\n<p>Named after the iconic Home Alone line, the jungle-themed restaurant transformed a former P.F. Chang\u2019s into an open fire pit seafood and steak restaurant. The animal print decor and dim lighting creates a \u201csexy\u201d and \u201cmoody\u201d ambiance, according to multiple Yelp users. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are Asian, Mexican, and tropical influences, but it\u2019s a primal style of cooking,\u201d shared a reviewer on Yelp. The cocktails were also frequently commended, along with the tomato butter.<\/p>\n<p>2. The high-value prix-fixe menu comes in at $68, including standouts like caviar blinis and duck sausage. Wang\u2019s inspiration was \u201crooted in nostalgia from my upbringing,\u201d he told Yelp.<\/p>\n<p>The Chongqing Fried Chicken is apparently a \u201cmust-try\u201d along with sides like the savory duck fat rice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>3. Courtesy of Limusina\/Anthony C. on Yelp<\/p>\n<p>Located in Hudson Yards, this new Mexican restaurant was a transformed parking garage and was described by Yelpers as \u201csexy\u201d and \u201cchic.\u201d Featuring Art-Deco details, its creative director shared, \u201cWe wanted it to feel like you were being transported into a new experience.\u201d The restaurant comes from Quality Branded, the group behind Don Angie and Bad Roman. <\/p>\n<p>The fan-favorite menu item is the Long-Bone Short Rib Quesabirria and seafood lovers recommend the Red Snapper Tacos. The menu gives mexican classics a creative twist, with dishes like truffle machete quesadillas and pork belly chicharr\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLimusina is good for flashy post-work drinks near Hudson Yards,\u201d wrote Molly Fitzpatrick from Infatuation. <\/p>\n<p>4. Eylan \u2013 Menlo Park,  California<\/p>\n<p>Eylan, ranked fourth on Yelp\u2019s Best New Restaurants of 2026, is an Indian family-style restaurant. The prix-fixe choices include sigdi (grilled) family-style dishes, with the Taro Root Chaat and pani puri-style Chilled Green Chaas serving as the two Yelp standouts.<\/p>\n<p>Ben L. on Reddit described the meal as \u201cnot your typical Indian food that\u2019s heavy and dense\u201d and said it was light and well-balanced but still packed with flavor. He also said it was a \u201creally sexy vibe\u201d that had great cocktails and energy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>5. Sourced from local farms with Japanese influences, one diner described it as a \u201cchoreographed experimentation with flavors.\u201d Guests enjoy about a dozen courses prepared at the chef\u2019s counter, finishing the evening with tea by the fire pit and a signed souvenir menu.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0sweet-and-salty N25 Kaluga Caviar atop ice cream flavored with orgeat (a floral almond syrup) is a standout dish, along with the Santa Barbara Sea Urchin with English pea and rose geranium.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>10. Ambassadors Clubhouse \u2013 New York,  New York<\/p>\n<p>Sibling owners Karam, Sunaina, and Jyotin Sethi in New York. Yelp named Ambassadors Clubhouse one of its best. Ambassadors Clubhouse on Yelp<\/p>\n<p>The other NYC restaurant to make Yelp\u2019s top 10 is Ambassadors Clubhouse. Yelpers note that securing a reservation is nearly impossible, but well worth the effort. The family-owned spot earned a Michelin star in London for its blend of Northern Indian cuisine and Punjabi royalty inspiration. Siblings Jyotin, Karam, and Sunaina Sethi named the restaurant in honor of their grandfather, a former Indian ambassador.<\/p>\n<p>Yelp reviews recommend trying the Beetroot Raj Kachori Chaat and the Original BBQ Butter Chicken Chops.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t remember putting this much effort into getting a reservation anywhere in New York City,\u201d said @thecarboholic on Instagram, who spent seven months setting alarms to snag a midday reservation.
