Four St John Parish restaurants hit with critical health violations in June<\/p>\n

The L\u2019Observateur Newspaper obtained food safety inspection information for the week of June. 1 to June. 16 from the Louisiana Department of Health.<\/p>\n

Four addresses with the most critical violations in Laplace, St. John the Baptist Parish, are listed, along with an explanation of the findings. All restaurants on the list had at least one critical violation.<\/p>\n

Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals states that uncorrected critical violations are more likely to cause food contamination or illness. Less serious violations aren\u2019t directly linked to foodborne illness but could become hazardous if left uncorrected.<\/p>\n

The Louisiana Department of Health\u2019s retail food health inspections dashboard includes a history of each establishment\u2019s inspection reports. Inspections should be considered a \u201csnapshot\u201d and might not always reflect an establishment\u2019s day-to-day operations and overall condition.<\/p>\n

Violations are either critical or non-critical. Critical violations can directly lead to food contamination or illness if uncorrected. Non-critical violations aren\u2019t directly linked but could become critical if ignored.<\/p>\n

The DHH dashboard is updated daily; however, there is a 7-day delay between when inspections are conducted and when they are posted online. Check eatsafe.la.gov for the most recent inspection information available and information on how to file a complaint.<\/p>\n
