Glamping, a totally different style, is becoming more widely available, with yurts, teepees and other interesting styles that require no setup. There’s an actual bed and sometimes heat and air conditioning available.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Most campgrounds have a pit toilet, if not a flush one. But the fact that there’s no air conditioning or heat, and there may or may not be cell service, a restroom or a shower, doesn’t faze me. It’s all part of the off-the-grid fun.<\/p>\n

My husband, who also camps in Missouri at least twice a year with his friends, owns all the gear we need: a tent, a camp stove, cooking and eating utensils, a water filter, warm sleeping bags, sleeping mats, headlamps, flashlights, lighters, coolers, tarps, ropes, a canopy and string lights.
