To find out, USA Today, a major media company, asked its readers to vote across the country for their favorite fast food restaurants. Once all votes were cast, they released their 2026 Best Fast Food Restaurant ranking, a list of 10 restaurants that are considered the best in the nation. This is a part of their annual USA Today Reader\u2019s Choice 10Best contest.<\/p>\n
All the restaurants that were ranked have locations in SC, including the top choice. However, the best fast food restaurant in SC only has one location. Here\u2019s where it\u2019s at:<\/p>\n
Del Taco is top fast food chain in US<\/p>\n
Del Taco was the most voted-for fast food restaurant in USA Today\u2019s ranking, earning the title of the nation\u2019s best fast food restaurant.<\/p>\n
They\u2019re known for their variety of Mexican food choices, such as burritos, tacos and tostadas, and they also have burgers and fries. Additionally, they have a dedicated breakfast menu, as well as a vegan and vegetarian menu.<\/p>\n
The Mexican fast food restaurant used to have a location in Columbia, where it operated for about six years before it closed in 2022.<\/p>\n
The Palmetto State went without Del Taco for several years before a new location opened up in Myrtle Beach. Del Taco\u2019s only operation in SC opened up on July 1 this year, and its address is 4570 Dick Pond Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588. They plan to open up another location in Little River later this year.<\/p>\n
