On Thursday, the Wild return home for a 7 p.m. puck drop against the St. Louis Blues. Win or lose, there are a bunch of fans throughout the local broadcast territory who cannot watch the team play on their preferred platform.

Wild+ launched at the start of the season. Any fan can download Prime Video and subscribe the Wild+ for $19.99 per month or $99.99 for the year. However, only Charter Spectrum subscribers can sign up to watch games as part of their cable package.

All of the other legacy TV companies, including Comcast (Xfinity), DirecTV and Dish Network, have yet to reach an agreement with the NHL to carry Wild+. But that’s not the only issue the Wild were facing.

Since the dawn of sports on television, businesses such as bars and restaurants have been a staple hangout for fans of all sports and all nationalities. Unfortunately, through the first seven games of the regular season, Wild games have been barred from such hospitalities.

Minnesota Wild, bars and restaurants across Minnesota saved by… Fubo?

Without cable and satellite companies around to sell them TV packages that included Minnesota Wild games, they’ve been unable to legally show them. This week, the Wild’s hospitality problems become a bit more public after the Pioneer Press wrote a story that gained some traction.

Then Wednesday, a streaming platform swooped in and saved the day. According to Michael Russo (The Athletic), starting with Thursday’s game against the Blues, bars and restaurants in the Wild’s local TV market can sign up for hospitality service through “Fubo TV.”

Fubo

— Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) October 14, 2026

Through a new distribution partnership with the National Hockey League, FuboTV and Integrated Sports Media, Wild+ is now available to bars and restaurants throughout the Minnesota Wild local broadcast territory. Bars and restaurants that are interested in subscribing to Wild+ should contact Integrated Sports Media at 1-866-396-8283 or [email protected].

Statement shared by Michael Russo

Related: Minnesota Wild Blame Cable Network for Failed Negotiations

Huge news for thirsty Minnesota Wild fans

Unlike most cable, satellite and streaming providers, Fubo jumped on-board for Wild+ immediately after it launched. Now, after inking a new distribution partnership with the NHL and Integrated Sports Media, Wild games are available to stream on FuboTV for local bars and restaurants too.

For over a week now, the Minnesota Wild have been pointed the finger at Comcast, for why Xfinity customers still cannot watch games as part of their cable package.

Fubo has been on board with Wild+ since the beginning, and currently stand as the only channel lineup streaming platform to offer the Wild as part of a package. Others, like YouTube TV and Sling, remain on the outside looking in.

Of course, this doesn’t fix the cable and satellite standoff for fans at home, but it does bring Wild hockey back to the local watering hole. As previously mentioned, the first chance for these establishments to stream games through FuboTV will be Thursday, when Minnesota (4-2-1) hosts the St. Louis Blues at Grand Casino Arena.

Mentioned in this article:Fubo Michael Russo Wild+

More About:Minnesota Wild

Add MinnesotaSportsFan as a preferred source on Google.

Credit: Stephen R.
