RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WKEF) — The man who died in this shooting incident has been identified.<\/p>\n
According to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, Luis Alfredo Cruz Mendez, 34, died in Riverside on September 20.<\/p>\n
The shooting is under investigation by the Riverside Police Department.<\/p>\n

RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WKEF) — One person is dead and another was taken to the hospital following a shooting at a Riverside restaurant Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
Riverside Police say they responded to Sonora Grill, located at the 5000 block of Burkhardt Road Sunday evening after reports of a shooting.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they are they found two shooting victims.<\/p>\n
Police said one victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. The second victim was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
An officer obtained a description of a vehicle believed to be connected to the shooting and broadcast that information to responding officers and surrounding units.<\/p>\n
A short time later, officers located the vehicle and detained two people believed to be in connection to the incident, according to police.<\/p>\n
Investigators have not released the identities of the victims or the two people detained.<\/p>\n
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.<\/p>\n
