Labor Day ushers in the unofficial beginning of fall and communities across South Carolina are gearing up for festival season.<\/p>\n

There are events honoring farms, okra, apples, makers, BBQ, boiled peanuts and shrimp. In addition, events will celebrate Greek culture, Black heritage and German food, beer and music.<\/p>\n

Here are some of what\u2019s planned for September as listed on sciway.net.<\/p>\n

Sept. 5-6 Dacusville Farm Show<\/p>\n

Parade, tractor, steam engine, car and truck exhibits, craft and food vendors, kids play area<\/p>\n

Sept. 5-7 Chapin Labor Day Weekend Celebration<\/p>\n

5K run\/walk on Saturday, street dance Sunday, parade, live music, food trucks, car show, kids activities Monday<\/p>\n

Sept. 6 Celebrate Anderson<\/p>\n

Hosted by Anderson County, concert, fireworks and drone show, food and beverages<\/p>\n

Sept 10-12 Westminster South Carolina Apple Festival<\/p>\n

Parade, pageant, live entertainment, arts and crafts, baking contest<\/p>\n

Sept. 11-12 Aiken\u2019s Makin\u2019<\/p>\n

Handcrafted arts and crafts, food, live entertainment<\/p>\n

Sept. 11-12 Mauldin Sooie<\/p>\n

BBQ cook-offs, live music, kids zone hosted by the City of Mauldin<\/p>\n

Sept. 11-13 Indie Craft Parade Judson Mill Greenville<\/p>\n

100+ makers, craft stations, local food vendors hosted by The Makers Collective<\/p>\n

Sept. 17-20 euphoria Greenville<\/p>\n

Food, wine, and music festival at various venues benefits local charitable organizations<\/p>\n

Sept. 17-20 Columbia\u2019s Greek Festival<\/p>\n

Live music, dances, church tours, vendors andGreek food hosted by Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral to benefit various charities<\/p>\n

Sept. 17-19 Yemassee Shrimp Festival<\/p>\n

In its 32nd year, the festival features a kiddie parade, live music, food and craft vendors, talent show, pet show and, of course, shrimp hosted by the Town of Yemassee<\/p>\n

Sept. 17-19 Pirate Fest Camden<\/p>\n

Pirate shenanigans with a Lantern Tour on Thursday, Friday\u2019s 21+ Eventide and Saturday\u2019s family-friendly festival hosted by Historic Camden Foundation<\/p>\n

Sept. 18-19 South Greenville Fair<\/p>\n

Farm animal exhibits and shows, dog show, fair queen and princess, flower and art show hosted by 4-H and FFA<\/p>\n

Sept. 18-20 Spartanburg Greek Festival<\/p>\n

Shopping bazaar, live music, traditional dancers, church tours, and Greek food hosted by St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church<\/p>\n

Sept. 18-20 Upstate Renaissance Faire Wellford<\/p>\n

Revamped this year and held at Hollywild Animal Preserve, Upstate Renaissance Faire says the location offers more space, expanded parking, and a magical setting.<\/p>\n

Renaissance regalia encouraged. Live entertainment, demonstrations, vendors, ax throwing, candle making and even photos with a kangaroo.<\/p>\n

Sept. 19 Jubilee: Festival of Black History & Culture Columbia<\/p>\n
