Hi yāall this is Maddie from maddās kitchen and today Iāll be making you all a delicious taco salad and hereās some of the ingredients Iāll be using I have the scoop I have the tortilla bread this is a 10 in and I have the seasoning and
I also have salsa hot sauce and these are tortilla strips I have some oil for the frying the tortillas and I have hamburger meat this is 85% uh 15 85 lean 15 fat and hereās some cilantro hereās my avocados my green peppers this is my red peppers my
Lettuce my tomatoes two types of tomatoes cherry and the regular tomatoes and hereās my lime and my cheese Iāll be using M cheddar cheese and and itās I forgot anything Iāll let you know and and when I get ready to introduce them okay Iāll get back with you all okay the
First step that I do I start uh to fry my a brown my tortilla and what I use you can use any type of oil olive oil or any kind you like vegetable so Iām going spread this over here good put it in the skillet and let it brown on each
Side thatās what I do how yāall doing out there have yāall been checking my videos out I been trying to make something that you all are like so I said Iām going start some videos that maybe young people might like I cook a lot of beans in oldfashioned some Iām
Going start doing that since I so Iām going put this on here and let it cook let it brown a little bit Yeah know I got my stove from medium Iām going let these fry a little bit until they get brown They bubble up and then you know theyāre
Ready to you know put in the bowl Iāll be putting these into a bowl thatās what Iāll be doing once they Bubble Up okay set that there and as soon as you take them out of of here make sure you put them press them down Iām going to use a scoop and
Press them down so Iām going let them fry bu up so itās not hot so they get bubble should have been a little H yeah and let them Brown on the other side my stove probably should have been a little hotter and they bubbling up okay get back with you okay now
Ready okay Iām getting ready to flip this over you donāt want I donāt know why you donāt want to get too hard thatās kind of hard but I donāt want them to get that hard cut the stove down cuz you want to be able to put in this
Here I put this and you want to be able to put it in this bowl and you take and lay lay of the bowl and you take your a a uh what you call later and Flash it down to get the shape of the bowl and
You start with the next one I proba can get do better with my hands than that so that look good now you going to set this aside and you going to do another one like that cut the stove down put a little grease thatās one Iām going to do
About three of them yāall put a little oil in here again start back I got my stove cut off cuz I donāt want it to I donāt want it to um burn so Iām put the next one Iām going to do three Iām like I said Iām going put this one in here
And do the same step Let it Fly okay I finished frying the tortillas I put them in the bowl and make sure itās a flat bowl like I say and Next Step Iām going to put them in the oven I got my oven heated to 355 and Iām going let
Them say here till they get a little hard and once that step Iāmma start the uh meat I completed my first step by uh frying the tortillas and putting them in the bowl in the oven now the Second Step that I do I get my meat ready my meat so
Iām going to put them in the stove Iām let them cook like this is about 4 lb but I donāt think Iāll be using all this so put it in there break it up get pretty neat cuz sometime when you break it up you look
In the middle you have all of that Iām probably going to go and use all of this this is a lot I donāt know that might be too much you hear fine but I got my stove U cut down so I wonāt have to that looks pretty good
This from public in 85% fat I mean lean and 8 15% fat so that looks pretty good thatās all Iām going to use half that so this about 3 lb so what Iām going to get ready now let do my onions now you donāt have
To put um onions and stuff in yours but I do I cut them so you they going to disappear in flavors most people donāt put and this is a red onion so Iām G use this one and a lot like I said a lot of
People donāt use it but I do use it and just going to cut it just get some of this off of it and Iāmma cut it put a little bit in here fine and when youāre doing this you can either put the onions in first or you could um you could have
Put it in uh last you know when you putting your meat on all you want to do is just cut them small and um put them in here Iāmma do uh this green pepper the same way Iāmma cut it in told you I hate to cut up I do it
Occasion I do it off the thing but it aināt nothing to do put all this in here Iām going sprinkle this across here it going to disappear like I say and but it going to season it very well so thatās what I do cut it back on I was trying to wait till
You know chop up my onion but thatās okay green pepper try this in it most people donāt put um vegetables in their meat but I do cuz I love vegetables okay just look you cross it donāt matter Iām not thinging and cutting up okay I got them crossed now Iām going
Do the pepper the same way they clean I clean them and I wash them and stuff take all this little the inside of it they call it the gut of it whatever they call it Iām calling the gut Iām going put some little green pepper there too just a little bit okay like
This put a few of this in here once this fry all the water come out Iām going to take and um do that next step with the salt with the uh seasoning and the garlic just a little garlic and water okay Iām going let this fry and break
Up okay Iām going get back with okay my meat is cooking I like I said I put green peppers in mine and I put also onions cuz I like the flavor of them because weāre really going to season this is a taco seasoning mix and I like
With my meat Iām a vegetable person and youāre not going to see this itās only thing this does the onioning and the peppers uh is season it good okay The Next Step Iām going to take these uh my tortilla that with in the oven Iām going
To put them on a cooling rack and let them set them aside and let them cool off so I can put my other ingredients in it and Iām going get back with you all let Iām going set these aside and let them cool now my meat is ready and U The
Next Step I do is I put some a seasoning mix in here you any kind you can make your own or you can get stot your favorite stobbart and this is mine tal seasoning mix original Iām going put that in there some of that after you drain your meat but first make sure
Draining meat Iām going to put this in here mix it put a little garlic in here thatās all that requires make sure itās seasoned good I like to season mine sometime with a little pepper in it but I let this season Iām probably put this whole pack
In here like I said this was three lbs of meat so put this in there I might have to put some more in here stir this up and Iām going let this cook simmer a little bit and put a cup you put a cup of water in
There too so it can cook just a cup of water and when you taste it if you not need to put any more in there seasoning in it be go ahead for it because he want it to taste good this is going to be a
Good one see how good that look so Iām going to put a little garlic powder in here and some water and thatās all you need and let it just cook I might add a little bit uh taco seasoning so I can make it kind of red but like this look
Pretty good right here so Iām going to put a little water in here just a cup of water as much as you need you might not need all a cup of water so but Iām going to put that in there and let it cook so let these green peppers and stuff Iām
Going to let it simber on the stove I probably put a little bit like I said taco seasoning in it and Iām going put a little garlic powder and thatās all required for U the meat you donāt want to overpowers cuz you got everything else to go in there so this I sprinkle
The garlic itās about 2 tbspoon of garlic okay put a little bit more seasoning in here and Iām going get back with you let this simmer for about at least good 20 minutes and after you put vegetables in yāall make sure you want your vegetable to get a little soft but
This look good right here so Iām let this cover and let it simmer cut it up a little bit and let it simmer okay and now Iām going to get ready to make my sauce okay my meat has finished cooking and it tastes so good and see those
Onions and uh bell pepper the red onions and the bell pepper only thing it did was seasoned itās really good I tast and it donāt need nothing the taco seasoning is pretty good but when you add the onions and the green pepper it taste it enhances the taste and I always do that
Okay then this is ready and what Iām going to do now is begin my sauce keep this covered up and okay Iām getting ready to make my uh sauce and what you need is some sour cream I need a uh a half a cup of sour cream and a 1/3 cup
Of mayo and some uh lime juice and I needed also uh lanto I needed some of salce of that I I know I canāt pronounce it but anyway I need a little bit of that but Iām going omit that cuz I donāt have any I donāt think it donāt do too
Much to it okay what Iām going to do Iām put a third cup of I mean Iām sorry half a cup of of sour cream yeah half a cup donāt matter if you put a little too much in there so this is that half a cup
And now Iāmma put a a third cup of mayo that was sour cream if I said ma that sour cream okay and also I forgot Iām going to put a little hot sauce in here just to make it a little spicy thatāll make it taste
Good I aināt going to put too much cuz children you know I might give my little great grandkids some of it I donāt know so Iām going put this in here this is the male third cup of male okay Iām going squeeze the lemon juice in here this is going to be Iām
Sorry lime Iām going to put a a tablespoon of lime in here fresh lime juice I can find my squeezer yāall thatās why Iām using my hand but I didnāt want to mess it up no way cuz that mean you got to wash it okay so this lime juice a tablespoon of lime
Juice Iām going put a little bit more okay so okay and Iām put a little hot sauce in here Iām sorry for the noise yāall put little hot sauce in here just a little bit I donāt want to pour I better be careful with this put a little bit in here
Okay okay thatās all Iāmma put in there Iām going twist Iāmma get beat this together and this is my sauce Iām going to set it aside and beginning cut my vegetables up thatās the last of my uh tomatoes and my other vegetables and lettuce and stuff we set this aside
Everything is cooking done Eat This Together set it aside say a pable now I donāt want to be too letās look back good consistence Iām going set this aside and get ready to do my vegetables Okay Okay the third step I did the um the T te I fried the meat I
Made the sauce now this is the fourth step for me Iām going to start cutting my vegetables up so the first thing you start with a lettuce and the lettuce going to be kind of cut just slice it a little bit like this you know you use a
Lot of lettuce Iām going use this whole head of lettuce thatās probably the most youāll be using let cut it go all around this how I cut mine you just want strips of it so Iām going do the lettuce okay have to chop this a little bit
More you leave Iām use you need a more lettuce than anything cuz see the lettuce going to hold the stuff in the bowl going let the bowl get wet so Iām going do this one and get back with you next next step Iām going to do is my
Avocado I took one off and hereās how I do Iām not an expert on this I just take and go all the way around it with the knife make sure you got it sharp knife the other one okay make sure your avocadoās kind of soft cuz you donāt
Want to eat no hard avocado go all the way around it and then after you do that I just take them break them over and take the seed out of it just pop it out on there just pop it out okay and Iāmma peel these just peel
Them and Iāmma cut these into squares thatās what Iāmma do I always do things backwards yāall but when I finish it be a good result I guess I cook like I cooked when I was young and they got so many modern ways to do things and I know I can do it
Better than this but I just go ahead and dig in it okay I know I could have peel this better so Iām going take and cut these in know little squares the squares and put them in itās going itās going to go on my avoc Iām having so soft you
Know put them in a bowl I separate mine I put all mines in a different Bowl so if you having a if everybody can serve and put whatever they want on their so Iām going take and peel these and get back with you when I get through peeling
Them okay Iām getting ready to do my other veget my tomato just cut it down you want to just cut it in squares it donāt matter how big you know you donāt want them too big just cut them in some squares put them in here I put them in this bowl
And Iām going to have two types of tomatoes myself you donāt have them too big I donāt like when I got a taco I donāt like for my tomatoes to be too big Iām going put these in here this one in here letās put some little chunks in it
You know thatās all Iām doing okay do this one and then what Iām going to do next is cut this one do the same way and I put mine in bows and stuff so you can if you want to do whatever you want to put in your taco you can you donāt
Have to put the same thing you know that everybody else got you if you donāt like tomatoes you donāt have to put tomatoes in it if you like cherry tomatoes thatās good if you donāt like you know a big Tomatoes use it any kind thatās it donāt
Matter itās up to you and so thatās you donāt put them I make a bowl a couple bowls but then and also keep them in cups so you can eat them as you want to okay so now Iāmma get these these here now Iāmma do the little ones see
These right here I always use them I take them cut them in two put these on top just for decoration make they make them look good and I sprinkle a little parsley on these you donāt have to do thatās up to you yeah put a couple of those and the
Next thing Iām going to do is cut my onions up my red onion thatāll be about it and my uh cilantro I cut some of that up okay thatās up to you you donāt have to use too tight but Iām not Iām a veget a vegetable person I like a lot of
Vegetables in my stuff different types cuz they make it taste so good so I got these okay and next thing Iāmma to cut up is my um red onions cut that up cut these kind of fine cuz you going to sprinkle this on top of the of the
Uh the salad this probably be the last thing you sprinkle up in put all This these a little too much but this how I do I just over mine like this and get them spine and when I chop up all these fine Iāmma get back with you but the other I got one more in GRE my cilantro Iāmma cut that up my
Cilantro honey yāall donāt pay no attention how Iāll be pronouncing words I know what Iām talking about but sometime I get ahead of myself but I always wind up making it taste good cuz I have that neck I can make food taste good and look good process donāt look as
Good okay Iāmma finish these and Iām going to get back with you okay I got everything prepped Iām getting ready to start my bowl the meat Iām going to recapture the meat I I just get the first thing youāre going to put is your lettuce put a lot of lettuce in here you
Know put your lettuce in your cups cuz this going to you know coat the um the meat help hold stuff in so you put a quite a bit of lettuce in here and itās so good I tasted meat honey that meat is so good put them in and J them down in
Here in these bowls and how I did the bowls I tuck them and fried them on each side and I got I shaped them into a a you know a a bakon bowl little Bing a bakon bowl Iām sorry yāall and uh I put them in the oven I use grease and I
Shape them to the bowl and the next thing I made my meat I cook my meat and my meat I took and put um I put some uh bell peppers and onion most people donāt do it made it taste so good so what next thing Iām do Iām getting ready to put my
Meat in here and I use this little SCU put a enough of meat in here put that on top that is so good you can look at that meat and tell that itās good put that in there you know this is my first time making one doing pretty good so simple
Make sure you get a lot of meat in there I like a lot of meat in mine but this old L like I said and look how hard these are they so they easy to make oh my goodness donāt buy no more look how Iām dra it no buy no more just make
Them that meat is good this is what makes a taco you have to season your meat and if you donāt season your meat you wasting your time and I put a lot of meat in mine okay next Iāmma to put the tomatoes Tomatoes Iām making three of
Them okay Iām going put this tomatoes so I got the little cherry tomatoes Iām going to put on there like I said I love vegetable Iām going to put some of these on the chopped uh Tomatoes theyāre kind of big letās put these on there and chop
Them make them look good and put some of these my tomatoes kind of big but you know itās okay there tomatoes in there next Iām going to put some avocados in there I might cut these tomatoes little small some avocados in there and this going to be so good yāall
Because of thatās seasoned meat and like I said make sure yāall season yāall meat and this a big one next Iām going to put the uh avoc cars in there put some of them in there this is a a a caveman stuff for okay man and this is really
Huge Iāmma straighten them up when I get through Iām just putting them in there now but Iām going to straighten this up and make it look pretty and next Iām going to put some uh cheese Iām going put onions I put some onion these are red onions just put a little bit over
Them sprinkle them let make it taste just a little bit donāt put a lot of it over here just a little bit donāt this look good yāall like I said Iām going cut down the Tomatoes a little bit before I show my presentation just a little
Bit I put a little onion and after the onion we put some cheese on top of here this is mad kitchen uh I know yāall never seen a bowl like this but this is from madis kitchen and that meat is so good and itās going to be good put some
Cheese over here this is shredded uh mild cheese Iām putting over here on here shredded mild cheese okay and after that Iām going to put uh Iām going to put some uh uh strips not strip Iām put some uh some of to sprinkle a little this um sauce on here just a little
