Ingredients

  • ¾ cup cocoa
  • Few grains
  • salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ¾ cup whipping cream

Preparation

  1. Combine cocoa, salt and sugar.
  2. Cream butter and vanilla. Add cream.
  3. Combine sugar mixture and cream mixture a little at a time, then beat two minutes at high speed with an electric mixer.
  4. Spread on cooled cake.
  • Another way to make this butter-cream frosting is to toss all ingredients at once into processor and process about 30 seconds or until perfectly smooth and glossy.
