My dear friend. Beautiful video!!! But "Gremolata" is this WITH FISH, chopped and mixed. Could be smoked fish or not, normally sardines or anchovies… Sorry, this is NOT "Gremolata". Fred.
Ingredients (adjust to your tastes!): 2 tbsp minced fresh parsley 1 large garlic clove, crushed fine 1 tsp freshly grated lemon zest 1 tbsp olive oil salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste (optional)
Definitely an old vid; he never sang "Enjoy"…. I Accidentally made a Gremolata this week,, but instead of garlic had chillies slit and gently sauteed in butter. My God! The chillies contribute to the flavour without adding too much heat. They can be casually munched upon at a later occasion without fear of your ears blowing out. I served it with a Sauce Verde which simply emphasised the magnificent flavours. Oh,by the way, this was served on a merely seared tuna steak.
I have someone in my household who is allergic to garlic. But isn't allergic to any of the onion varieties. Can you suggest a way to make this just as delicious without garlic? Probably not. Thought I'd ask …"enjoy!" <sung>

I've used gremolata on salmon and asparagus. It's such a wonderful versatile condiment!
